WWE Rumor: Daniel Bryan’s Return Being Held Off Until After ‘WrestleMania 32’?
It’s been nearly four months since Daniel Bryan was taken out-of-action due to a concussion, and WWE still seems weary of putting him back inside the ring even though Bryan says he’s been cleared to compete by his personal doctor.
Several weeks ago, Daniel Bryan said that he would contemplate leaving WWE if they never medically clear him, saying that he plans to wrestle again no matter what. Of course, fans would like to see him return to action in a WWE ring, but that may not happen until after WrestleMania 32.
When Bryan appeared on last Monday’s episode of RAW, he didn’t give an update on his health, and he wasn’t allowed to get physical with anyone, which isn’t a sign that WWE is considering having him return to action any time soon despite Bryan being cleared to do so by his own doctor.
Apparently, there is some talk of holding off Bryan’s return until after WrestleMania 32 because WWE doesn’t want his return to spoil their WrestleMania main-event plans, which may involve Roman Reigns winning the WWE world heavyweight championship for the third year in a row.
Of course, like every other WWE wrestler, Bryan wants to have a match at next year’s WrestleMania 32, as it’s expected to be the biggest WrestleMania of all-time. There has been some talk of Bryan having a match with Chris Jericho at the event, which would have the potential to steal the show if it happened. But if Jericho is planning on coming back for the show and WWE is planning on holding off Bryan’s return until after the show, then the match obviously won’t happen.
Some believe that Daniel Bryan’s wrestling career is over, but as previously stated, Bryan is promising that he will wrestle again even if he’s forced to leave WWE to do so. It does seem unlikely that Bryan will end up leaving WWE at any point in the near or distant future. Furthermore, if WWE never wanted Bryan to wrestle again, they probably would have told him by now.
Originally, Bryan was hoping that he could return at this Sunday’s SummerSlam. But, unless WWE is planning on him making a surprise return, which is extremely unlikely, he won’t be wrestling this Sunday night or any time soon.
