Tuesday night, the Season 5 reunion episode of Dance Moms airs on Lifetime. Nia Sioux Frazier, her mom, Holly, and the rest of the gang will reunite with dance teacher Abby Lee Miller to talk about this past season. In addition, Nia is releasing the video for her latest song, “Slay,” Tuesday night, and fans are anxious to know what the dancer and singer is planning to do next. Will she be back for Season 6 of Dance Moms ?
Nia Sioux Frazier shared via Instagram that her video for “Slay,” featuring Coco Jones, will debut during the Dance Moms reunion show. The song itself is already available on iTunes, and fans are loving it. From the sounds of things, Frazier is anxious to do more music, and she is all about messages of positivity and motivation.
Dance Moms spoilers have indicated that Tuesday night’s reunion show is very dramatic, with the tensions running high between Holly Frazier and Abby Lee Miller. A preview via the show’s Facebook page shows that there will be some intense discussion about the group bailing early at Nationals , with differing accounts of how things transpired and looked.
Given how things played out in Season 5 of Dance Moms with Nia, Holly, and Abby, many wonder if the Fraziers will be back for Season 6. From the looks of things, filming has not yet started, and the network hasn’t confirmed much about what lies ahead.
Based on comments Miller and the Fraziers made at the Reality TV Awards in the spring, as Perez Hilton detailed, it certainly sounded as if Nia and Holly had decided that it was time to move on to do their own thing. Given how well things have been going for Nia’s good friend and former Dance Moms star Chloe Lukasiak lately, many of Frazier’s fans are encouraging her to head off and do her own thing, as well. However, more recent comments lead some to think things may have been worked out a bit.
The International Business Times talked with Nia about her music, dancing, and inspirations. The 14-year-old shares that “Slay” is about how girls can slay anything in life, and it’s all about motivation. She indicates that her goal is to focus on positivity.
As for the video for “Slay,” Frazier teases that her mom makes an appearance, as do fellow Dance Moms stars JoJo Siwa and her mom, Jessalyn. Fans know that Nia and JoJo have grown very close to one another in this past season, and they’ve been doing a lot of projects together. However, it seems that Abby was resistant to letting any other stars from the show do the video.
Regarding Miller, Nia says that she doesn’t know how Abby feels about this latest video, as she hasn’t been in touch with her in a while. However, given Nia’s focus on positivity, some might say that fans can see there’s still a distance now between Miller and the Fraziers. Does that mean that Nia and Holly are done with Dance Moms for good?
Nia says the following about the show, even though it is challenging.
“I feel like I can do it all. I want to do it all. I want to do singing, acting, dancing, and I love being on the show.”
Frazier added that the show gave her an outlet to get some exposure with her music, and she loves the show and can’t thank them enough. Nia says she’s happy with how her journey has been so far, and she can’t wait to see what lies ahead. Does that include Season 6 of Dance Moms ? Nobody seems entirely sure on that front, but filming should be starting soon, and more will be revealed then.
Tune in to the Dance Moms Season 5 reunion show airing Tuesday night on Lifetime to see how the drama plays out, and see Nia Sioux Frazier’s “Slay” video. As for what comes next for the teen, fans will have to stay tuned to find out.
