Taylor Swift’s Famous Friends Have A Strong Influence On Her Relationship With Calvin Harris
Taylor Swift’s famous friends have a strong influence on her current relationship with Calvin Harris, implied Taylor in a recent interview. T-Swift is known for her large squad of A-lister girlfriends and the close bond they share. She has more celebrity friends than probably anybody else in the celebrity scene right now.
“My friends and I text every day,” she told Vanity Fair. “Being a huge group of girls who love each other, we know where everyone is.”
She also explained that being in such a large group of girls for most people can get tense, but for her group, back-biting, constant arguments, and dramatic squabbles don’t happen.
Some of her best girlfriends include Lorde, Selena Gomez, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, and Emma Watson.
It seems difficult to believe that such a bond could be possible for these well-renowned girls, but Gigi Hadid and Swift still seem to be good friends, even though Hadid is currently dating Taylor’s old beau Joe Jonas.
“It’s almost like the sisterhood has such a higher place on the list of priorities for us. It’s so much more important than some guy that it didn’t work out with,” she said.
For that reason, Taylor Swift’s famous friends have a large influence on her current relationship with British hunk Calvin Harris. There seems to be a significant difference in Swift’s current relationship as compared to her past relationships, which made her known for being the victim in one bad relationship after another.
In the same interview with Vanity Fair, she explained that her history of bad relationships made it difficult to pay attention to the media.
“For the better part of 2012 and 2013, I did not go online, because I didn’t like what they were saying about me. And it was so overwhelmingly inaccurate that I knew there was nothing I could do to fight. When the media decides that they don’t like you, there’s nothing you can do that doesn’t seem desperate and irritating to everyone when you try to defend yourself.”
She also explained that her squad of friends helped recognize her worth despite the negativity surrounding her name.
“I think that I just decided if [the media] was going to say that about me, that I was boy-crazy and so dependent on men and all that, I wasn’t going to give them a reason to say that anymore, and I wasn’t going to be seen around any men for years—so that’s what I did. And what ended up happening was I became happier than I had ever been before. I swore I would never ever get in another relationship if it meant changing who I was, or taking me out of that mode where my friends are everything to me.”
Though Calvin Harris wasn’t mentioned once in the cover story, he must have passed both her and her friends’ new strict standards, because they’ve been going strong for awhile now.
She also mentioned in the interview that it’s “so important” for her boyfriend and girlfriends to get along, because she didn’t want to appear any different to her friends when her boyfriend was around, and Calvin seems to have made the cut!
She and her squad of friends have also created “squad goals” in order to cement their friendship. The goals revolve around much of the things that she discussed in her interview about being true to yourself and letting your friends be a good influence on you.
Taylor Swift’s famous friends seem to be a great influence on both her current boyfriend and her fan base.
