Move Over Selena Gomez: Zayn Malik Eyeing Kendall Jenner With Momager Kris’ Help
Has Zayn Malik’s roving eye settled on model Kendall Jenner? Yes, according to a recent and probably dubiously-sourced UK tabloid story. And momager Kris Jenner is pushing for it. Allegedly.
With those qualifiers in place, here’s the dish.
Model Kendall Jenner is supposedly totally embarrassed that her matchmaker mom, Kris, invited the newly-single Zayn Malik to her younger sister Kylie’s 18th birthday party earlier this week.
The reason? Apparently, the Keeping Up with the Kardashian’s matriarch wants Zendall to happen. So says The Sun newspaper.
The tabloid claims that although it was previously thought Zayn had attended Kylie’s party to make a beeline for the now legal reality TV star — he recently favorited one of her pics on Twitter — it is Kendall who has allegedly caught the former One Directioner’s eye.
The usual mystery sources are saying Kris is aggressively trying to make ensure Kendall, 19, and Zayn, 22, get together. Hence, Malik’s invite to Kylie Jenner’s 18th, even though he apparently didn’t know anyone at the bash.
A source purportedly told The Sun, “Kendall is actually quite shy and was mortified at her mum being so obvious but eventually she relaxed and was talking to Zayn just the two of them.”
“Khloe and some friends joined them, and clearly Zayn was feeling more confident so he put his arm around her,” the mole continued, adding, “She looked very surprised at first but she relaxed and put both her arms around his waist.”
The British tabloid went on to claim sources said Zayn and Kendall swapped numbers and that Kris pestered the Estee Lauder model to keep in touch with him even while she was in Mexico with Kylie and their pals.
“Nobody seemed remotely fussed Kendall went on dates with Harry. Their attitude was it was a casual relationship a long time ago,” the alleged source added.
It’s said Kris was the influencer behind Kendall’s previous date with Harry Styles and her recent social get-togethers with motor racing champion Lewis Hamilton.
Whether Zendall becomes a thing remains to be seen. But we’re not holding our breath.
After reports that Zayn dumped his ex-fiancée, Little Mix’s Perrie Edwards by text, he still continues to publicly cold-shoulder her. Over the weekend, he retweeted a post shared by a shade account, which invited other Twitter users to retweet to endorse Fifth Harmony or favorite for Little Mix. Not exactly Mr. gallant.
And it looks like Selena Gomez isn’t impressed, despite Malik’s big profile. During a recent BBC Radio 1 interview, the actress-singer was told that he’d followed her on Twitter. When asked to comment, the Latina said she already knew Zayn and would follow him back.
However, the Disney alum has yet to do so. Take note, Kendall and Kris Jenner.
