Orlando Bloom’s Will Turner character is back for yet another swashbuckling adventure in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales .
At the D23 Expo on August 15, it was finally officially announced that Orlando Bloom will be back on screen with Johnny Depp after months of speculation.
While Orlando Bloom was the main hero of the first few Pirates of the Caribbean films, his presence was missed in 2011’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides .
While Orlando wasn’t present at the D23 Expo, Johnny Depp was there in full costume and in character as Jack Sparrow. He charmed the audience, as he always does, throwing grapes at them and making jokes. Just a day before, as the Inquisitr previously reported, Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance to receive the Legend award, which is given to individuals who have contributed to the entertainment industry.

When Orlando Bloom first talked about Dead Men Tell No Tales with IGN , via the Daily Mail , the 38-year-old actor did not confirm appearing in the film, though he did not say that he would not appear either.
“I’m not entire sure that [I’ll be back] just yet, but there are talks. Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son.”
In Dead Men Tell No Tales , Jack Sparrow is in search for the Trident of Poseidon, an artifact that gives the owner complete control over the seas. This won’t be easy, however, as his nemesis Captain Salazar, played by Javier Bardem, will be at his feet.

Hollywood Life reports that Geoffrey Rush will be returning as Barbossa . Other actors include Brenton Thwait and Kaya Scodelario.
Filming of Dead Men Tell No Tales wrapped up in Australia last week, so we can assume that Orlando Bloom has already finished filming his scenes. The movie is now in post-production.
