Duggar Family Makes Redneck Joke On Facebook
The Duggar family may no longer be on TLC, but they are still active on social media, including Facebook and Instagram.
E! Online is reporting that a photo of extended Duggar family member Ben Seewald working outside took an interesting turn with a joke that played on the potentially offensive term “redneck.” The post on the Duggar family official Facebook page shows a sweaty Seawald standing with a T-shirt tied around his head.

“Ben works outside a lot and in Arkansas this week it has been around 100°!,” the caption on the Duggar family Facebook post states before asking, “What do you think of Ben’s redneck prevention head gear?!!:-)”
Granted, the Duggar family is from Arkansas and some in the area take the term as a badge of honor. Comedian Jeff Foxworthy has made a career celebrating it.
The post didn’t end with the Duggar family Facebook photo, however. Jessa Duggar Seewald took to Instagram to share her thoughts on it as well.
“This is how my man stays cool and keeps the sun off his neck on a hot work day! @Ben_Seewald, lookin’ kinda like an ancient Egyptian pharaoh,” she wrote.
Despite the potential sore spot for people who might take offense to the term, Facebook followers of the Duggar family seemed not to mind. As of this writing, the post of the Duggar family Facebook page had 11,129 likes and more than 500 comments. Many of those posts sympathized with the trials of working in heat and offering praise for Seewald’s ingenuity.
Jessa’s Instagram post had more than 71,000 likes. Like the Duggar family Facebook post, most of the fans commenting on the Instagram post were supportive of Seewald for his fashion choice.
People magazine is reporting that Ben Seewald isn’t the only member of the Duggar family whose photos have been “popping” up online recently. Jessa Duggar Seewald has been posting baby bump photos on her social media including Twitter.
As previously reported by Inquisitr, Jessa Duggar Seewald joked that she had reached the point where her belly button had started to look like Thanksgiving Dinner.
“Lol! …that point in your pregnancy where your belly button start to act like a pop-up turkey timer!,” she wrote in a caption to one of the photos.
According to People, the newest member of Duggar family is expected to come around November 1. If it does, it will arrive on the wedding anniversary of Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald.
