WWE Rumors: The Rock, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, And Kevin Nash All Being Brought Into New York For ‘SummerSlam’

As if this year’s SummerSlam isn’t big enough, there are now rumors that three WWE Legends could end up in New York during that weekend. Roman Reigns already dropped a weird hint that The Rock could show up at the big pay-per-view, but word now has it that “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and Kevin Nash will be in town as well.

First of all, the rumors of The Rock showing up in Brooklyn may be a little premature or more to the point — far-fetched. PW Insider is reporting that there has been no backstage talk at this time of The Rock showing up at SummerSlam .

Now, they do go on to say that if a huge name such as The Rock would be appearing at SummerSlam , not a lot of people would know about it. In fact, the only people that would know about it are Triple H, Vince McMahon , and Stephanie McMahon.

On another note, WrestleZone is reporting that WWE is planning on bringing “Stone Cold” Steve Austin into New York for the SummerSlam weekend. At this time, there are no plans in place for him to appear at the big event on Sunday night.

It is possible that Austin will be there to promote WWE 2K16 and maybe even do a meet-and-greet like Sting will be doing.

Another name making the rumor rounds right now is that of Kevin Nash. Yes, the WWE Hall of Famer is going to be in Brooklyn for some company commitments in a week, but it isn’t exactly known what they’re going to be.

Cageside Seats reports that Nash is definitely confirmed to be in town during the SummerSlam weekend, but he most likely won’t appear at the big event either. He will probably join others at the meet-and-greet and autograph signing deal.

SummerSlam already has a pretty full match card and a main event that is going to pit The Undertaker against Brock Lesnar. WWE made the event four hours this year, and they did it to promote the event itself and WWE Network.

Even the meet-and-greet is going to get a lot of attention as WWE is going all out for next weekend.

Now, the three WWE legends may very well be in New York City during SummerSlam weekend, but that’s not a guarantee they will appear on the PPV. Then again, WWE does like to keep rumors going and shock the viewing audience so “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, and The Rock could be in a ring at some point or another.
