Amber Portwood Debuts Weight Loss Ahead Of ‘Teen Mom OG’ Wedding

Amber Portwood is nearly at her goal weight. Since Season 5 of Teen Mom, which was renamed Teen Mom OG, debuted months ago, Amber Portwood has been doing her best to get to a healthier weight, and on Twitter on August 10, she revealed a new photo of herself.

Amber Portwood went on to tell her many fans on Twitter that her weight loss is the result of healthy eating, cutting out bad carbohydrates. Amber Portwood also named her fiancé, Matthew Baier, as a support throughout her weight loss endeavors.

Amber Portwood began dating Baier in 2014, months after she was released from prison. Then, during filming on Teen Mom OG, Amber Portwood became engaged. Meanwhile, Amber Portwood’s ex-boyfriend, Gary Shirley, whom she shares a young daughter with, is in a new relationship with Kristina Anderson, and the two recently welcomed a child together.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Amber Portwood has already begun planning her wedding, so it only seems fitting that she’d want to be in her best shape. During an interview with MTV in June, Amber Portwood gave the following details about her upcoming wedding to Baier.

“My dream wedding, I know for sure, my cousin Krystal would be the maid of honor at the wedding because she’s the closest person to me. She’s like my best friend. And of course I want all the Teen Moms, all the girls, I want them to be my bridesmaids. I mean, they have to be a part of it.”

During a second interview with OK! Magazine, Amber Portwood spoke of her fiancé, revealing Baier helped her move past her turmoil-filled relationship with Shirley, and spoke of her love for Baier.

“I think [Matt] helped me get completely over him. It was months before that though that I actually made the decision to not want to have the relationship with Gary anymore. It was just really hard to move forward with somebody and trust another man and actually feel like I can love another person. I never thought I’d find somebody that I loved more than Gary, and obviously I was wrong. I love this man more than anything.”

Amber Portwood and the cast of Teen Mom OG are expected to return to MTV later this year or early next year for the show’s sixth season.
