Jennifer Aniston’s Wedding: ‘Friends’ Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer Weren’t Invited

Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc have revealed that they weren’t invited to Jennifer Aniston’s wedding to Justin Theroux last week, in the process breaking the hearts of millions of Friends fans across the world.

Matt LeBlanc admitted to People Magazine, at the Television Critics Association press tour in Los Angeles, where he is promoting Episodes, that he didn’t get an invite to his former co-star’s most recent nuptials. But while he admitted that he was disappointed by his omission, LeBlanc stated that he was only concerned with Aniston’s happiness.

“I think they’re a great couple. I think she’s happy. And that’s all I care about is that Jen’s happy. If she wanted me there, I would have been there.”

LeBlanc, 48, might have inadvertently stumbled upon the reason why he wasn’t invited, though, explaining that he actually missed Aniston’s first wedding to Brad Pitt because he was shooting a movie.

LeBlanc also admitted that the film he missed the ceremony ultimately proved to be a huge flop, and if he could turn back time he would make sure that he attended it.

“I missed when she married Brad. I was in Austria working. She called me, and she was like, ‘You’re really not coming to my wedding?’ And I was like, ‘I asked them if they could change the schedule. I would fly and clap and fly out.’

And they said, ‘We can’t do it. It’s too tight.’ It was a small-budget movie in Austria you’ve never heard of. Probably should have left anyway, but s*** happens. What are you going to do?”

Matthew Perry, who was also at the event to promote his work on The Odd Couple with CBS opposite Thomas Lennon, also admitted that he wasn’t invited to Aniston’s soiree. He simply acknowledged, “I wasn’t invited. So what can you do?”

Perry, who played Chandler Bing on Friends, admitted that while he was “surprised” by Aniston and Theroux’s wedding, he is still “very happy for them.”

LeBlanc also made sure to insist that even though the trio of male leading actors from Friends, including David Schwimmer, was also absent from the wedding, according to Us Magazine, the fact that Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were present was enough.

“Everybody is okay,” LeBlanc added, “The girls were there. You’ve got to have the girls there.”

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux exchanged vows in their $21 million Bel Air home last week in front of a star-studded crowd that included Orlando Bloom, Howard Stern, and Whitney Cummings.
