‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Spoilers: Everything We Know So Far
Game of Thrones Season 6 may not be airing until 2016, but fans are already dying for spoilers and news about the upcoming episodes and what they may bring to the lives of the fan favorite characters.
Den of Geek reports that there has already been quite a bit of news about Game of Thrones Season 6, and they’ve rounded up what fans know about the upcoming episodes.
First off is the Season 6 premiere. When will the new episodes start? According to the report, the show usually returns in the Spring around Easter, and lasts 10 weeks. However, since the Easter holiday falls early this year, in March, the report suggests that Season 6 will begin the first Sunday of April.
Perhaps the biggest mystery about Game of Thrones Season 6 is Jon Snow. In the Season 5 finale, fans watched as members of the Knight’s Watch took turns brutally stabbing Jon and leaving him on the floor, bleeding, to die.
While fans are hopeful that Jon Snow is not dead, due to the fact that actor Kit Harington has been seen in Belfast, where the show films, HBO execs have said that Jon is dead. Some spoilers suggest that perhaps he may be dead, but not gone. Could Jon Snow be a White Walker in the new season?
Meanwhile, Jon’s younger brother, Bran Stark, will finally be back on the show and will have some serious interactions with the Three-Eyed Raven. The actor confirmed his return recently, and fans are super excited.
“I can’t say a lot, but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.”
Another big piece of news for Game of Thrones Season 6 is that Bran’s late father, Ned Stark, will also be back, Watchers on the Wall reports. An actor has been cast as a young Ned Stark, and he’ll be seen in a flashback sparring with another young man, possibly Littlefinger?
While we don’t know if Jon Snow is dead, what we do know is that Stannis Baratheon is dead. Although we didn’t see his death at the hands of Brienne of Tarth, he has been slayed, and after he allowed his daughter to be burned alive in order to gain his place as King, many fans are not sorry to see him go.
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, another hated character will also be back. Lord Walder Frey will return in Season 6. As Game of Thrones fans will remember, Walder Frey is the man responsible for the Red Wedding, and the deaths of Robb Stark, his wife, and his mother, Lady Catelyn Stark.
