Kris and Caitlyn Jenner took their first photo together since Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce, announced she was transitioning. And it’s Kim Kardashian who is getting credit for the reconciliation, reported MSN.

Kim shared the image of Kris and Caitlyn, and the photo caption showed Kardashian’s sense of humor.

“The parent trap,” wrote Kim.

Not since Diane Sawyer’s 20/20 interview in April have photos emerged of the Jenners together. That ground-breaking interview gave the then-Bruce the opportunity to reveal his plans to transition and to discuss what he hoped to contribute to the transgender community.

Only subsequently did Bruce then reveal the new name of Caitlyn and, via the cover of Vanity Fair, the new look.

Kris and Caitlyn were married for more than two decades prior to their 2014 divorce. And while many photos were taken during their years together, Bruce’s initial transgender announcement was followed by months of drama between the former couple.

Kim took the new pic of Kris and Caitlyn as part of her photos capturing her stepsister Kylie Jenner’s 18th birthday party, reported People.

Prior to that public appearance, Kris did visit Caitlyn in her Malibu mansion. But the most recent appearances of Kris and Caitlyn have been noticeably more affectionate, with the two hugging after Kylie’s party.

However, it took some heartache to get to that point, and Kris was noticeably upset when she talked about the situation on Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce.

“I just miss Bruce. And that’s going to take me a minute to mourn that relationship,” admitted the Kardashian-Jenner momager. “You think you’re going to grow old with somebody, and they drastically change over the course of just a few years.”

Moreover, Kris was upset when Caitlyn revealed her views on gender identity and Kris’ knowledge of Caitlyn’s battle.

As the Inquisitr reported, Kris did not attend the ESPY awards, at which Caitlyn was honored. And Kris made her frustration with the 65-year-old evident in the Vanity Fair article.

“He was married to me and he wasn’t who he wanted to be, so he was miserable,” said Kris in that article. “At the end of my relationship with Bruce, he definitely had a lot of social anxiety … that was one of the reasons we were in a struggle at the end.”

Recalling the divorce, Kris expressed her fury.

“[The divorce felt like] the most passive-aggressive thing I think I’ve ever experienced,” said Kris, adding that Caitlyn, then Bruce, seemingly had “just decided, ‘I’m done.’ ”

But Caitlyn disagreed with the way that her ex-wife portrayed the divorce.

“Twenty percent was gender and 80 percent was the way I was treated,” said Caitlyn.
