Kelly Ripa’s Broken Foot Matched By Hubby Mark Consuelos’ Injury: What Happened To The Duo?
Kelly Ripa’s broken foot made Live! With Kelly and Michael viewers cringe recently as the talk show host and former soap opera star described her unfortunate gym incident. Kelly’s broken foot has led to her needing to wear a boot for a while and she told the tale in quite the detailed fashion. It didn’t take long, however, for the family to end up with a new story to tell.
Now Kelly Ripa’s broken foot injury has been matched, to an extent, by her husband Mark Consuelos. Both Kelly and Mark shared photos on Instagram showing that he is now wearing a boot too. Mark shared the photo first, showing him sitting on a stair with Kelly and they are wearing matching boots. Kelly soon shared the photo as well.
Mark shared, “Can’t make this sh#! Up. Small calf tear,” while Kelly wrote, “ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?????????? WTF????”
While Mark and Kelly definitely look down and discouraged in the initial photo, after a few days it seems they found a way to have a wee bit of fun with the situation. Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa’s injuries were on display as they posed with their boots and their “human crutch,” friend and Rouge Nail Bar owner Jenny Benattar.

Kelly Ripa’s injury was a tough one, as the talk show host jumped up in a gym class and landed on a weight, breaking several bones in her foot. However, apparently Mark Consuelos’ injury was a bit simpler. It seems his injury was also gym-related, as he tore his calf muscle while working out.
Some might say that Mark’s injury could perhaps be seen as a bit of karma. Kelly had talked about how Mark got a bit of enjoyment out of seeing his wife suffering, taking pictures and videotaping her throughout her ordeal.
Though the couple certainly looked grim in their initial pictures, chances are that they aren’t letting the boots hold them back from enjoying their summer too much. Both Ripa and Consuelos typically have great senses of humor and it looks like they’re doing their best to lean on humor in the midst of their matching injuries.
So far the Live! With Kelly and Michael host seems to be following doctor’s orders with wearing the boot, but she’s already admitted she doubts she’ll last the full six weeks as initially instructed. Fans can only imagine the stories yet to come related to the adventures taking place in the midst of Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa’s broken and battered household.
