Cara Delevingne is like a typhoon touching down here and there between modeling, acting, and whatever else might strike Cara’s fancy, but Ms. Delevingne reveals that she is very focused on her career, whichever career Cara might be pursuing at any given moment, while indulging a true passion for life.
“When I was growing up I saw life is very precious and we shouldn’t waste any time. I like the feeling of being able to learn and do as much as I can as fast as I can, because I have a lot of ambition and want to accomplish a lot.”
Many voice opinions that Ms. Delevingne is not really quite normal, asserting that Cara exhibits too much craziness to last long in either modeling or acting, but Ms. Delevingne reminds fans and critics that things are not always as they seem.

“There’s a side of me that wants me to throw myself into situations and be very fearless, even though I’m afraid or nervous and try to pretend I’m not. But I’m trying to get over my fears, and as I get older and figure out more about myself I become more confident.”
Cara recalls her very first acting experience and how the reactions of the audience truly gave her that first bite of the acting bug.
“I remember the first time I was on stage. It was a Christmas jazz musical. I was Mary and I had a really long solo. And I just loved causing a reaction; smiling, laughing or crying. It made me feel alive. From that day, I was like, ‘I want to entertain people.’ I prefer acting to modeling.”
Ms. Delevingne takes a different perspective from most when it comes to handling the fame and media attention that comes along with a successful acting career. In fact, as Cara speaks, it seems she enjoys being the center of attention, as though life wouldn’t be quite right without it.
“I try to handle it as well as I can, and have as much fun with it as I can. There’s not much I can do about it [laughs]! You try not to take yourself seriously, because then you put too much pressure on yourself and I like having fun.”
Almost as an afterthought, Ms. Delevingne addresses a need for privacy .
“Privacy is important, but if you’re going to be in this business you have to be willing to accept being photographed and being recognized a lot.”
Revealing an aspect of her personality fans really haven’t been exposed to, Cara shares the things in her life that really help to keep her grounded, while Ms. Delevingne pursues her crazy lifestyle.
“My parents and close friends have always been there for me and helped me deal with everything. I’ve also found comfort and peace of mind in yoga and meditation. Yoga’s taught me to look inside myself and it’s changed my life.”
And the future? For Cara, it seems that fun is the key to everything the 22-year-old actress wants to pursue.
“I want to continue to be able to make music and keep drumming, because I’ve always had that in my life and it’s something I enjoy and it makes me feel good. I also want to be able to travel and explore the world as much as I can and learn about different cultures. Anything fun.”
