Jill Duggar Shows Off Derick Dillard’s Acting Skills During Mission Trip [Video]
Jill Duggar’s husband, Derick Dillard, is officially an actor! However, the former 19 Kids and Counting star isn’t trading reality TV for a scripted show. Instead, the theist thespian is entertaining Central Americans by performing religious skits. Jill and Derick are still on their extended stay mission trip in El Salvador, and they’re using these skits to try to convert the locals to the Duggars’ preferred brand of Christianity.
Jill Duggar recently shared a video of Derick Dillard and a few other missionaries performing a bit she refers to as the “Everything” drama. The group used a basketball court as their stage, and only one missionary got to rock a full costume. The video features someone wearing a black shroud, and it’s likely that this actor is supposed to represent death.
“The mission team did a great job performing the ‘Everything’ drama in several villages we visited last month,” Jill captioned the video below. As you can see, Derick and his fellow missionaries get a little violent by pretending to shove a girl before clawing at her like angry cats. The guy with the scraps of material wrapped around his body appears to represent Jesus — he’s protecting her from demonic Derick and his evil friends.

According to CBN News, the “Everything” skit is usually performed to the Lifehouse song of the same name. It follows a young woman as she turns away from Jesus by allowing herself to be overcome by a list of “vices” that includes “sexual impurity, greed for money, drinking, bulimia, and cutting.” She eventually decides to commit suicide, and this is when Jesus steps in to help her fend off her “demonic attackers.” Derick is playing one of the “vices” in the video above, but it’s impossible to tell which one based on the short clip that Jill shared on Instagram.
People reports that Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have been in El Salvador for one month, and Jill wants her fans and generous donors to know that she and Derick aren’t just performing skits during their mission trip. In an update on the Dillard Family website, Jill revealed that she and Derick have also helped to organize soccer games, led youth conferences, evangelized, visited homes, and worked on construction projects. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jill and Derick have even successfully converted a few gang members. Jill reports that she’s using her free time to learn Spanish, and it looks like Israel is helping his mommy study.

Jill must be having a really tough time learning the language, because she asked her fans to pray for her to become more fluent in Spanish.
“Please continue to pray for wisdom, safety and our ability to learn the language, as well as for the people here in Central America, that God will open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light!”
At least Jill Duggar didn’t insult Derick Dillard by asking her followers to pray for his acting abilities to improve.
