How Many Actors Did Han Hyo Joo Kiss In Latest Film ‘The Beauty Inside?’ Was One Of Them Park Shin Hye?
Prior to her month-long vacation in Europe, Park Shin Hye finished filming her last movie, The Beauty Inside. She will play the male lead, Woo Jin, while Han Hyo Joo plays the female lead, Hong Yi Soo. That does sound peculiar, given that Shin Hye is a woman. However, the character Woo Jin plays wakes up as a different person every morning. He might be a different age or nationality. And at times, he may be a woman. Ergo, Park Shin Hye is able to play the male lead, though she shares that role with more than 20 other actors (as shown in the Korean trailer below).
This, however, brings up a most peculiar question. In The Beauty Inside, Hong Yi Soo knows of Woo Jin’s situation and loves him nevertheless. It is also known the characters show affection such as kissing each other. With that in mind, how many actors did Han Hyo Joo kiss? A more enticing question is if Han Hyo Joo actually kissed Park Shin Hye?
Such a question was brought up during a press conference for The Beauty Inside. Han Hyo Joo explained the experience of kissing such a variety of actors to those in attendance.
“Including the kiss scenes in the movie, I filmed scenes with 13 different actors in total.”
Analyzing Han Hyo Joo’s statement, it is possible numerous kiss scenes did not make it into the final cut of The Beauty Inside. Still, it is enticing to imagine who Hyo Joo kissed out of more than 20 actors. Hyo Joo did make it known she kissed Kim Sang Ho and Kim Dae Myung, as reported by KdramaStars. But that still leaves a large selection for the remaining 11 actors. This includes Do Ji Han, Bae Sung Woo, Lee Bum Soo, Park Seo Joon, Kim Sang Ho, Chun Woo Hee, Lee Jae Joon, Hong Da Me, Jo Dal Hwan, Lee Jin Wook, Kim Min Jae, Seo Kang Joon, Kim Hee Won, Lee Dong Wook, Go Ah Sung, Lee Hyun Woo, Kim Joo Hyuk, Yoo Yeon Suk, Juri Ueno, and of course Park Shin Hye.
Story aside, if Han Hyo Joo did partake in a same-sex kiss, the one actress that would accumulate the most chatter is Park Shin Hye. Shin Hye is presently the most popular K-drama and movie actress. It is definitely a fan service scenario. However, if Shin Hye doesn’t want to partake in such, there are other actresses who play Woo Jin including Chun Woo Hee, Go Ah Sung, and Juri Ueno. Needless to say, if there is a same-sex kiss, first and foremost Hyo Joo would have to be comfortable performing such.
The Beauty Inside is set to release on August 20, 2015. Information for an international release is limited to only 11 Asian countries including Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines. If it is available outside of East Asia, it will most likely be on DramaFever and/or Viki.
