Enrique, Kournikova Resurface: Elusive Couple Makes Rare Public Appearance [Photo]
Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova are one of the lowest profile Hollywood couples, so it is surprising news whenever they make a public appearance. As reported by Us Weekly, the 40-year-old singer and the 34-year-old former tennis star resurfaced for a date night and enjoyed a romantic dinner at the Palm restaurant in Beverly Hills on Thursday, August 6.
Enrique and Kournikova have been together for 14 years, and it seems they have no plans to get married or have children. Although some believe the couple wed in a super-secret ceremony years ago, Enrique denied those rumors in an interview for CBS Sunday Morning last year.
“I’m not against marriage, not at all,” Iglesias explained. “But when you’ve been with someone for such a long time, I don’t think it’s going to make — bring us closer together. I don’t think it’s going to… make us any happier.”
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova enjoying an evening out together. Last March, the couple went on a double date with Enrique’s half-sister, Ana Boyer, and her boyfriend, Fernando Verdasco. The pair had been staying with them for a few days at his home in Miami.

It appears that Enrique Iglesias has made a full recovery after he underwent major reconstructive surgery to his hand as the result of an injury he suffered during a concert in Tijuana in late May. According to TMZ, the incident occurred when Enrique attempted to grab a flying drone used for aerial photography inside the concert arena, but ended up slicing his hand open. Although he was badly bleeding, Enrique continued to perform before being rushed to the hospital about 30 minutes later.
Judging by paparazzi pictures taken of the couple while they finished up their recent romantic date, both appear to be in good health. However, Anna Kournikova, who is known for her athletic and fit body, was looking skinnier than ever.
According to PopSugar, the couple usually calls Miami home, but lately they have been on the road during Enrique’s Sex and Love Tour. On August 13, Enrique is scheduled to make an appearance to perform in a concert in Spain and Monaco. From there, the singer will travel to Turkey and Lebanon before closing out concerts in Curacao on September 4.
