With Kim Kardashian’s baby bump growing “on the day to day,” as her husband Kanye West would rhyme in his “All Day” song , so does interest in what the couple plan to name their new baby. With daughter North West already enjoying a unique and direction-filled name that harkens back to classic films like North by Northwest , it makes sense that fans would assume the new Kardashian-West baby’s name would be that of some sort of direction.
Despite reports that Kim and Kanye’s new baby boy’s name would be Easton , as reported by the Daily Mail – webmasters can hold off on buying EastonWest.com, EastonKardashian.com, and EastonKardashianWest.com just yet. Kim had already told NPR that she didn’t like the name South West, and rumors that a source revealed the Easton name? aren’t true.
Kim and Kanye aren’t naming their baby Easton , says Page Six . Therefore, the baby who is expected to arrive in about five months — at the end of the year — won’t have the name that the supposed insider told the Daily Mail was indeed his name.
“Easton is the chosen name. It’s confirmed that the baby boy will be called Easton.”
That’s not to say that Kim and Kanye hadn’t indeed told some inside source that their baby’s name would be Easton. Fans of Kardashian and Keeping Up with the Kardashians know that Kim uses tactics of leaked information to suss out who could be the mole or moles in her crew, selling information to the press.
For example, Kim could’ve told one friend that she and Kanye planned to name their new baby boy Easton while telling another friend their new baby’s name would be “Eastland” and a third friend that their baby’s moniker would be “Easter” and so on. Then, Kardashian would’ve sworn all the friends to complete secrecy.
Later, if one or all of the names ended up being leaked to the press, Kim would then know which friends held her confidence in complete privacy — and which ones leaked the name to the press. Therefore, although Kim and Kanye may have indeed planned to name their child Easton at some point — and/or used the Easton name as a friendship-discovering ploy — West and Kardashian likely changed their minds about the Easton name once it leaked to the media.
Whether the baby’s real name will indeed be “direction inspired” again remains to be seen. Kanye reportedly likes the direction East — but likely not for the reason ’90s rappers rapped about looking “to the east, my brother, to the east.” Those X-Clan songs professed a pseudo-black Islamic kind of devotion, while West is famous for urging “ Jesus, walk with me .”
“Kourtney [Kardashian] told a few girls at a Hidden Hills pool party last weekend that Kayne’s favorite name by far is Easton, a name Kim wasn’t hot on…”
Publications are blaming Kourtney for letting the supposed “Easton” name of the son of 38-year-old Kanye and 34-year-old Kim slip out.
