Fans who have been waiting for a Zelda title for the Wii U were disappointed when it wasn’t mentioned at this year’s E3. And on Nintendo’s list of game titles to be released, which they put out every quarter, Legend of Zelda for Wii U is still listed as “TBD.” This makes many speculate that the Zelda game for Wii U won’t be coming this year.
Despite this bad news, Zelda fans will still have something to look forward to, as Nintendo has just announced the release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes .
As the Inquisitr previously reported in June, Nintendo is releasing two new titles for The Legend of Zelda for the 3DS — Hyrule Warriors and Tri Force Heroes .
Gaming Bolt reports that one of the two titles mentioned — The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes — will be released on October 23 in North America and Europe. This makes 3DS owners and Zelda fans very happy.

Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes director Hiromasa Shikata said that the new Zelda title will allow players to go through an epic adventure alone or with two other friends, but not with another player, as reported by Kotaku .
“You can’t play regular courses with two people. There is a mode within the game called the Colosseum, where it’s completely competitive, there’s no cooperation, it’s a battle-mode, basically. You can play one on one or one-on-one-on-one, so you can play with two players.”
If you are in the middle of the game and one of your two friends suddenly drops out, you will be left with a “Game Over” screen. The only way to continue the game is if you play by yourself, or find a replacement so you have three in your group. Not only that, the three players will share one life bar , IGN reported.
If you’re not into sharing a Zelda adventure with two of your friends, then you can go solo. If you choose that option, the two Links in your party will become controllable AI dolls that you can manipulate to help you solve puzzles. Besides, Shikata said that some people in their team prefer playing by themselves.
