‘Fantastic Four’ Star Miles Teller Is A ‘D**k’ According To ‘Esquire,’ Costars Respond On Twitter
Miles Teller isn’t thrilled about the comments recently made about him by Esquire. In fact, the Fantastic Four star took to Twitter to address the harsh remarks made by the magazine in an interview with Teller in the September issue.
The online feud started after magazine posted the message: “Miles Teller is on a quest for greatness (with a bit of d**kishness too),” including a link to the interview.
Teller responded to the message by writing, “@esquire couldn’t be more wrong. I don’t think there’s anything cool or entertaining about being a d**k or an a****le. Very misrepresenting.”
In the interview, the magazine starts the article with the author debating whether or not Teller is a d**k. “You’re sitting across from Miles Teller at the Luminary restaurant in Atlanta and trying to figure out if he’s a d**k,” adding at the end, “So yeah, he is kind of a d**k. But the thing is, you agree with him: His admittedly limited body of work so far, his oeuvre – a word you define and spell for him, so who’s the d**k now? – is pretty great.”
Meanwhile, a few of Teller’s Fantastic Four co-stars have took to social media to back him up. Jamie Bell tweeted, “@Miles_Teller is a great actor & a great guy. @esquire.” At the same time Kate Mara, who plays Sue Storm in the movie and eventually marries Reed Richards (Teller), stated: “My movie husband @Miles_Teller is crazy talented and a truly fantastic person.@esquire.”
Along with the interview, the article in Esquire featured a number of different photos of Teller posing shirtless with a few naked girls. In regards to the images, Teller admitted that he doesn’t think of himself as being the typical handsome celebrity.
“I was thinking about that today,” he stated when asked about his good looks. “How I probably think I’m better-looking than the public thinks I am.”
Teller added that the topic was brought to his attention when he visited a forum about a movie he was starring in, where a few fans commented on his looks.
“I was in one of these forums about a film I did, and it’s like, ‘This dude is so ugly! How does he get f**king parts?’ ‘Well, he’s not, like, traditionally handsome, but…’ And that’s kind of what it is. Maybe it’s because I came from a small town, but I always did well for myself.”
Catch Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B. Jordan in Fantastic Four when it hits theaters Friday.
