‘Mortal Kombat X’: Highest-Selling Video Game’s Kombat Pack 2 Coming Soon?
Mortal Kombat X, developed by NetherRealm Studios, was one of the most anticipated games of 2015. Now that the game has been released, fans are waiting for more content to add to their game experience. Other games released this year are announcing DLC and expansions left and right, but for Mortal Kombat X, fans only have the additional content from the Kombat Pack season pass, which allows them to have at least 15 additions to the game. These additions include Jason Voorhees, Predator, Goro, Tanya, and costumes and skins.
NetherRealm stated that Tremor is the last DLC for the Kombat Pack. If you think that the DLCs provided for Mortal Kombat X are not enough, you might get even more if you wait just a little bit longer. According to Ecumenical News, a Kombat Pack 2 is possible.
This is not confirmed by NetherRealm, but the possibility of a second Kombat Pack was teased when NetherRealm called the latest upgrade “Kombat Pack 1,” which could mean that it is only the first in a series of Kombat Packs.
In addition, Mortal Kombat X‘s game director, Ed Boon, has given hints on his official Twitter account and answered some fans’ questions.

Now, all fans have to do is wait and see if NetherRealm will indeed release Kombat Pack 2. Maybe a few suggestions will prod the developers to release one soon.
Meanwhile, as reported by Fortune, Mortal Kombat X is the best-selling video game of 2015 so far. The game beat Grand Theft Auto V and Battlefield Headline, which took the No. 2 and No. 3 spots respectively. Other games that made the list, in no particular order, include The Witcher 3, Batman: Arkham Knight, Minecraft, and Super Smash Bros.
The report was conducted by New York-based market research company, NPD Group. They compiled physical sales of games in a variety of platforms from January until the end of June. The data collected does not include all digital sales from the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The added blood and gore to Mortal Kombat X may have helped propel the game to the top.
Mortal Kombat X may be the No. 1 top-selling game for the first six months of the year, but that may change at the end of 2015. Perhaps the rumored Kombat Pack 2 can help Mortal Kombat X stay in the No. 1 spot.
