5 Reasons Why People Want Donald Trump For President
Donald Trump — real estate mogul and star of reality TV shows Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice — has made a name for himself for decades. When Trump announced his intention to run in the 2016 presidential race, it was met with mixed reviews. While some were delighted to see Donald Trump enter the running, others laughed off his bid.
Donald has since proven himself not only worthy of the candidacy, but the front runner in the race, according to CBS News. It is surprising to many that one who is not a career politician could rise so effortlessly above those who have spent their lives embroiled in politics. That fact has helped more than hindered Donald Trump in his bid for the presidential candidacy, which brings us to our first point.
Donald Trump is not a career politician.
This may sound like a negative point for one running for president, but apparently, America as a whole is tired of the leadership of career politicians. Some people, myself included, have come to think of politics more as a game where the best liar wins. Campaign promises don’t matter and can be completely forgotten once the candidate has taken office. How many times have we seen this happen?
Donald Trump believes these people are swayed on issues by campaign contributors.
“These politicians — I always say, they’re all talk, no action.
I think we are run by a group of incompetent people and they are destroying our country… No politician in my opinion is going to get this country back.”
Donald Trump creates jobs.
One point Donald Trump likes to make is that he knows how to create jobs for Americans. This is not a claim of a braggart trying to make himself look favorable to the public. It is a fact. Donald Trump creates jobs, in America, for American people. These days companies are happy to send all our jobs out of the country to keep profits high while increasing the cost of those same products to U.S. consumers. It’s no wonder our economy has tanked.
According to Detroit News,Trump has slammed the Ford Motor Company for their plans of building a plant in Mexico. Angry at the thought of more American jobs being outsourced to another country, Donald Trump has said that he would impose a 35 percent tax on every item made in Mexico and sold across the border back to the United States.
“Let me give you the bad news: every car, every truck and every part manufactured in this plant that comes across the border, we’re going to charge you a 35 percent tax — OK? — and that tax is going to be paid simultaneously with the transaction. They are going to take away thousands of jobs.”
Donald Trump knows how to make money.
His long successful career in real estate has plumped Donald Trump’s pockets well. The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice shows surely contributed as well. (By the way, even his television career created jobs for American people.)
So, Donald Trump is beholden to no one in his run for the presidential candidacy, as he is funding the campaign with his own money.
“I don’t need anybody’s money. I’m using my own money. I’m not using the lobbyists. I’m not using donors.”
If Trump has more than enough money to fund an entire, outrageously expensive campaign, then he is doing something right financially. The United States desperately needs a leader who will work towards shrinking the national deficit rather than increasing it. Donald Trump shows promise in that area.
Donald Trump speaks bluntly.
Though we may not like everything that Donald says, we can respect the fact that he says what he means, whether his views are popular or not. And then, if you can believe it, Donald Trump stands by those words even if they come under attack.
Recently Trump has spoken on illegal immigrants from Mexico, and the need for a border wall. For some reason, there was a huge outcry regarding his statement, but he did not back down. Despite the public opinion, Trump’s popularity soared.
Donald Trump is not a fan of taxes.
In a related report by the Inquisitr, Donald Trump pays as little in taxes as he possibly can. A large portion of us feel the same way. Here are his reasons.
“I’ve said this many times, so it’s not exactly breaking news, I pay as little as possible. I fight like hell to pay as little as possible for two reasons. Number one, I’m a businessman. And that’s the way you’re supposed to do it, and you put the money back into your company and employees, and all of that. But the other reason is that I hate the way our government spends our taxes. I hate the way they waste our money. Trillions and trillions of dollars of waste and abuse. And I hate it. And I’ll be probably the first candidate in the history of politics within this country to say I try … like every single taxpayer out there, I try to pay as little tax as possible, and again one of the big reasons is I hate what our country does with the money that we pay.”
Donald Trump gives me hope that America really can be great again. Not because that’s his campaign slogan. Not because I’m blindly following his words. The reason he gives me hope is his history as a successful businessman and lover and supporter of his family.
