Will ‘The Bachelorette’ Star Nick Viall Try To Find Love For A Third Time As The New ‘Bachelor’?
Things haven’t turned out well for Nick Viall in the reality dating world. The Bachelorette star has come in second place twice on the reality show, having most recently been rejected by Kaitlyn Bristowe, who choose Shawn Booth over Viall in the show’s latest finale. However, it appears as though Viall might be given a third chance to find love.
According to KpopStarz, Viall has been offered the lead role in the upcoming season of The Bachelor. Despite a rough time following his latest rejection, Viall is thinking about accepting the role.
“It’s one of those things I’d have to obviously spend a lot of time [discussing] with my family and friends,” Viall explained in an interview with Us Weekly.
“But I can’t say that I wouldn’t. It’s certainly something that I’d have to take into serious consideration, because I want to take it seriously. I really want to do it only if I felt like it could really work for me.”
However, it still isn’t clear if Nick Viall will accept the offer, especially considering his multiple disappointments in the reality dating scene. In fact, Viall admitted that he had a difficult time after Bristowe’s decision to be with Booth.
“It took a lot out of me, and all of my energy has been focused on [healing]…The days following sucked… Every day gets a little better.”
At the same time, Viall was recently outspoken about how he thought Bristowe broke the rules by telling him that she loved him. “We told each other a bunch of times,” he explained. “I was very lucky that… obviously, there’s the fantasy suite, but she requested a lot of extra time. We really enjoyed our private time together.”
Meanwhile, there is still a possibility that producers will decide to go with two lead men when The Bachelor returns. According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the show is considering having both Viall and Ben Higgins fight it out to see who will play the main role, which is similar to what they did with Britt Nilsson and Bristowe.
While Higgins was a fan favorite during his time on The Bachelorette, an inside source told the website that many think Viall deserves another chance. “Nick actually redeemed himself during the second season of The Bachelorette, and he has been dumped twice now on national television, a lot of people think that he genuinely deserves a happy ending after all of this,” the source explained.
