WWE Rumors: The Undertaker Already Being Teased For ‘Survivor Series’ Appearance — Is This Where His Feud With Sting Will Begin?
When the Undertaker returned at WWE Battleground, the world was shocked that he was back in the ring already. No one really expected him back until WrestleMania 32, but now he’s fighting Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Well, more rumors are flying, and it appears as if the Deadman could show up at Survivor Series in November, but will it be to set up his feud with Sting?
The Undertaker is going to be at SummerSlam in three weeks, and he’s even being promoted for events after the big Pay-Per-View. Those events go into a tour of Mexico in mid-October, and it means that him sticking around until Survivor Series in late November isn’t out of the question.
WWE released a piece entitled “5 unbelievable facts about The Undertaker,” and it goes through a number of big facts about him. One of those had to do with 2014 being the only year of his career without a victory, but the description told a lot more.
“The 2015 edition of Survivor Series will claim an important place in WWE history, and not just because of the epic match card that will presumably take place.
This edition of WWE’s fall classic will also mark the 25th anniversary of The Undertaker’s debut in WWE, as well as the first time the WWE Universe witnessed him earn his way into the winner’s circle. He didn’t just become The Phenom overnight. It took a long time and a lot of defeated opponents to remove all doubt about this supernatural Superstar’s capabilities in the ring.”
It would seem odd for WWE to point out this incredibly significant anniversary without something coming from it. Knowing that the Undertaker has been around for 25 years is rather awesome, and so was his debut at Survivor Series in 1990.
Now, to make matters a little more interesting, there was another big WWE debut at Survivor Series, and it happened just last year. That was when Sting finally made his long-awaited first appearance with the company.
It actually makes a little more sense now for their rumored feud to finally begin at Survivor Series, and then carry over into 2016. They could have an appearance here and there before culminating with a match at WrestleMania 32.
A feud going on that long isn’t out of the question, either. Sting made his debut at last year’s Survivor Series, and his feud with Triple H carried over until their match at WrestleMania 31.
The Undertaker has a big match ahead of him, but the 25th anniversary of his debut is just around the corner at Survivor Series. There is no confirmation that he will show up for it, or even that Sting will be there, but it makes a lot of sense.
