Kim Richards’ Ex-Husband Monty Brinson Shared Odd Message On Instagram The Day After Her Shoplifting Arrest
Kim Richards’ ex-husband, Monty Brinson, shared an odd post on Instagram around the time the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was being released from custody after her shoplifting arrest. Although it is unclear whether or not Brinson was aware of the allegations against Kim Richards at the time of the post, it has certainly raised some questions.
Below is what he shared with fans on August 3.
“Day is over, night has come. Today is gone, what’s done is done. Embrace your dreams through the night, tomorrow comes a whole new light. Pray for everybody, I believe everyone has a good heart and I know I have a big heart, just want happiness for everyone #quote #saying #family #life #love #heart #family #children #dreams #happiness.”
Kim Richards left rehab last month after spending 30 days in treatment, and after she left, she reportedly began living with her sister, Kathy Hilton. Also living with Hilton was Brinson, who Richards has been caring for over the last few months. As fans of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have heard, Brinson was diagnosed with cancer and given just months to live over one year ago.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kim Richards was arrested on Sunday in Van Nuys, California after security guards at the local Target store reportedly witnessed the troubled reality star attempting to steal $600 worth of toys and other merchandise. After news of the arrest hit the web, Brinson spoke of Kim Richards during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, claiming he believed the incident to be a misunderstanding.
“I couldn’t imagine Kim stealing or shoplifting anything. She is a giver. I am in complete shock. Guaranteed this must be some kind of mistake, and the facts will come out soon. She was arrested for shoplifting toys in a cart, but this was a clear misunderstanding. This was not alcohol or drug related.”
According to Entertainment Tonight, Kim Richards spoke of her sobriety struggles just weeks prior, claiming she “loved” being sober and wanted to get treatment earlier this summer for her addiction struggles.
“I love sobriety. I’ve always loved sobriety and relapsing was very hard for me. It was not easy. I have to say, don’t take this wrong, but I really wanted to go treatment because I needed a break from what I was going through at home… Monty, my ex-husband, is very sick and my son wasn’t well. And I had to give away my dog, and I wasn’t talking to my sister [Kyle Richards].”
Kim Richards is not expected to return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season six.
