A new trailer for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie has just been released. Fox aired the trailer for Josh Trank’s newly envisioned film during American Ninja Warrior . Along with the extended look at the new Fantastic Four reboot, fans were also treated to a first look at Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool .
Reynolds was seen at the end of the trailer for Fantastic Four , teasing fans in his usual humorous fashion that the first trailer of Deadpool would be released soon. This new clip of Reynolds’ comes after the first shots of him as Deadpool were seen at Comic-Con 2015 in San Diego.
Although fans have waited for over a month now for the Deadpool trailer to be released, Reynold’s is expected to do just that Tuesday night. In fact, according to the Hollywood Reporter , Reynold’s will be a guest on Conan , where he plans to release a trailer for the upcoming movie.
“Ryan Reynolds debuts the new redband trailer for Deadpool ,” Conan’s official website teases on the coming episode. “We’re filling up his dressing room with chimichangas in anticipation.”
At the same time, the official Twitter account for Conan’s show tweeted a message that the episode with Reynolds would not be suitable for younger viewers, mainly due to the explicit content of the trailer.
“Tomorrow #Conan premieres the #Deadpool red band [trailer]… It’s so NSFW, our TBS rating will be TV-MA. OMG, so many acronyms.”
As many fans know, Deadpool is a Marvel Comics antihero with the superheroic ability to heal himself. The character, who is often portrayed as being mentally unsettled, is also known as the “Merc with a Mouth.” Reynolds made his first appearance as Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which was released back in 2009.
Although fans at the recent Comic-Con event were treated to a first look at the actual trailer, Fox chose not to release it to everyone else. However, a pirated version of the footage has since leaked online, which is probably why Fox is getting ready to debut the new trailer Tuesday night on Conan .
Along with Reynold’s as the lead character, Deadpool also stars Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, and T.J. Miller as Weasel. The film is directed by Tim Miller.
While the trailer is set to air on Conan Tuesday night on TBS, Deadpool is scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 12, 2016.
Fantastic Four is in theaters Friday.
