Gwen Stefani Divorce: Gwen Files For Divorce From Gavin Rossdale After 13 Years, 3 Kids

Gwen Stefani has filed for divorce from husband, Gavin Rossdale. According to TMZ, Gwen and Gavin have decided to end their 13-year marriage. The couple, who has three children together, do not have a prenuptial agreement. As per California law, they will more than likely split all of their assets 50/50.

“Gwen, who’s repped by attorney Scott Weston, is asking for joint custody of the couple’s 3 kids — 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma and 1-year-old Apollo. Gavin, who’s repped by disso-queen Laura Wasser, filed his response at the same time, and he’s also asking for joint custody. It’s clear the petition and response were orchestrated to be filed simultaneously,” reports TMZ.

Gwen Stefani’s divorce papers reportedly indicate that she will not be paying her ex spousal support, even though she makes more money than he does. She is worth an estimated $80 million while Gavin is worth $35 million. It is unknown if Gavin will request support of any kind.

Trouble in paradise was not evident, however, and most fans are completely shocked to hear this news.

Gwen was on vacation in Montana just last week, but it is unclear if Gavin Rossdale was with her. There is barely a trace of him on her Instagram account.

According to Radar Online, Gwen Stefani did an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine back in February, and talked about being married for so long, but didn’t seem to have any problems with her husband — at least none that she wanted to share.

“It’s a miracle that we could stay together this long. It’s good to have those days when we both do our own things. I think that’s what keeps relationships going, when both people can be themselves and have their own individuality. That’s especially important for women,” Gwen said at the time.

As for why Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are getting divorced, there haven’t been too many details. Radar highlights a 2014 interview where Gwen was stressed to have Gavin on set with her on The Voice.

“I was really overwhelmed that Gavin was actually going to be on [the show] with me. I was like, ‘I don’t know if I can handle this. It’s just too much,'” she said.

This isn’t the only huge celebrity divorce news to break this week either. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Reba McIntyre announced her decision to split from her longtime husband, Narvel Blackstock. The two had been married for 26 years.
