Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly And Megyn Kelly Continue To Rule Cable News Ratings
This week, Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly both, once again, clobbered the competition when it came to cable news ratings. The competition, even from Fox News’ other anchors, was far behind.
When averaging ratings from the past week at Zap2It, O’Reilly attracted 2.69 million viewers per night. His biggest night was Monday, with 2.83 million viewers, and his lowest was Tuesday, with 2.54 million viewers.
Megyn Kelly is not too far behind O’Reilly: She averaged 2.33 million viewers per night. Her biggest night was Wednesday, with 2.36 million viewers, and her lowest was Wednesday, with 2.36 million viewers. Kelly continues to rule in the most important demo for advertisers, 25 to 54-year-olds.
Bill O’Reilly continued railing against injustice this week. He noted two cases where a simple police stop led to deaths, but said he couldn’t draw many conclusions since the facts weren’t all set straight. However, he is still angry about the Planned Parenthood controversy.
“And what about Planned Parenthood? They receive a half-billion dollars a year from the taxpayer, and some of their operations are selling the body parts of aborted babies. There are federal laws against that. Have President Obama and Attorney General Lynch ordered an investigation?”
Bill O’Reilly went on to add that a video actually shows a Planned Parenthood doctor describing the harvesting of body parts taken from aborted babies, which occurs sometimes more than halfway though their mothers’ pregnancies.
Megyn Kelly talked a lot about Donald Trump this week, who has shocked everybody by coming out on top in the Republican race. Her guest, Fox News Digital Politics Editor Chris Stirewalt, had a lot to say about Trump.
“Well, Donald Trump is human fluidity. He came into this race, and he has upended everybody’s applecart. And especially for, there’s a magic line, there’s a magic divide. You have about eight candidates who are at five points or better statistically on average in the Real Clear politics average polls.”
Stirewalt seems to believe that Trump won’t last. However, Kelly and others think Trump is definitely a force to be reckoned with, whether people like him or not.
This Thursday evening, 10 Republican candidates will have a debate on Fox News. All eyes will be on Donald Trump. Will he do himself in? Will he further his numbers in the polls? You can bet that after this debate, both Bill O’Reilly and Megyn Kelly will further their numbers in the cable television news ratings race.
