George Clooney To Host $12 Million Fundraiser For President Obama

George Clooney will be hosting what will likely turn out to be the largest Presidential fundraiser in U.S. History on May 10th, bringing in over $12 Million in campaign money for the incumbent President Barack Obama.

Charging $40,000 a head to attend the event in Clooney’s Studio City, CA mansion, 150 of the countries most elite celebrities, executives, and powerful players will be in attendance to be a part of this high class event.

In addition to the cool $6 Million that will be raised by the expensive dinner reservations, the Obama campaign had given the chance for the average Joe to win a seat at the head of the table directly next to the POTUS.

In what is considered to be a grassroots campaign tactic, supporters were asked to donate as little as $3 to be entered in for a chance to win the lucky seat in the contest fittingly titled, “Obama, Clooney, and You”. The raffle has since ended as an apparent success.

George Clooney has never been one to shy from politics and has been seemingly outspoken in his obvious support for the current president, stating that he is “proud to do whatever I can to support the President…as long as no one asks me to sing.”

Meanwhile, GOP supported American Crossroads have released ads accusing the commander-in-chief of being a “Hollywood President” saying that American’s finally got their “cool President”.

The ad goes on to say that “Four years ago, Americans elected the biggest celebrity in the world. And America got one cool President.” He then asks, “After four years of a celebrity president, is your life any better?”

Do you think George Clooney hosting the fundraiser is unfair to other presidential hopefuls?
