Chris Harrison Hints Marcus And Lacy’s Wedding Not The Only ‘Paradise’ Love Story This Season
Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul’s wedding will kick off the two-night Bachelor in Paradise premiere on Sunday night, but their love story may not be the only one fans will see this season. Amidst the drama and tears, host Chris Harrison says that it’s likely fans will see another couple leave the show “in love.”
Who will fall in love on Bachelor in Paradise this season, and will they tie the knot on the season finale?
There’s a lot of drama on #BachelorInParadise, but there’s also a lot of love. ;https://t.co/MAb0vWOSru

Last season, viewers saw Marcus (Andi’s season) and Lacy (Juan Pablo’s season) fall in love almost immediately after they met on the show last year. To date, there have been only five successful marriages in the Bachelor franchise — Sunday night’s televised wedding makes happy couple number six, with a slim chance that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth will increase that number to seven.
Chris Harrison tells Reality TV World that he is “confident” with the way the show works — as far as love connections go — because contestants have “percentage-wise, a better opportunity” on BIP than they do on the Bachelor or Bachelorette.
So, out of the 29 cast members who will come and go this season, who does Chris Harrison say will fall in love? It’s obvious he can’t reveal which contestants make a match, but he did hint that at least “one couple will leave Paradise in love.”
Can’t wait to find out what happens and who the successful couples are on the second season of ABC’s summer reality show? That’s what spoilers are for. If you don’t want to find out how the season ends, stop reading now and tune in to watch the Bachelor in Paradise premiere on Sunday night.
[Spoilers ahead]
According to Reality Steve, four couples make it to the Bachelor in Paradise season finale. (See a full list of all 29 contestants here.) However, only two couples will leave the show in a relationship and yes, there will be a proposal on the last episode.
One of the couples who finds love on BIP may surprise fans. Justin Reich, who was eliminated early on in Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of the Bachelorette, supposedly falls in love with Cassandra Ferguson (Juan Pablo’s season). They don’t get engaged on the show, but left the show with plans to continue dating. Both Cassandra and Justin are single parents, so perhaps that brought them closer together on the show. She hails from Michigan and he lives outside of Chicago.
If they are still dating, Cassandra is doing a good job of keeping it under wraps. She has been spending time with another Paradise cast member — Jonathan Holloway — but made it clear on Instagram that they are just friends.
Just like Marcus and Lacy’s engagement last season, spoilers indicate that there will be a proposal on the season finale of Bachelor in Paradise. Tanner Tolbert (Kaitlyn’s season) is said to be engaged to Jade Roper, the beautiful girl from Nebraska who was dumped by Chris Soules after she showed him her Playboy photos.
Are Tanner and Jade still together? Perhaps fans will get an update on the After Paradise special that airs every Monday night and after the finale, but if Jade’s Twitter stream is any indication, she is moving just a little closer to Kansas City, Missouri, where Tanner currently lives.
Jade currently lives in Los Angeles, but is apparently moving to Nashville, Tennessee, (along with castmate Carly Waddell). That’s about eight hours from Kansas City. Close enough for love to last? Fans will find out soon enough.
