‘The Bachelorette’ Star Nick Viall The Next ‘Bachelor’? Or Has Ben Higgins Already Been Chosen?
Although Nick Viall came up short for a second time during the Season 11 finale of The Bachelorette, some are speculating that he might be set to be the lead man in Season 20 of The Bachelor. However, with both Ben Higgins and Ben Zorn in contention to play the part as well, it’s going to be a tough decision for the producers.
Despite being rejected by Kaitlyn Bristowe on The Bachelorette, Viall told Us Magazine that it would be a great opportunity to be selected.
“As far as The Bachelor? I spent the past three months really just focusing on moving forward. It took a lot out of me, and all of my energy has been focused on [healing]. After last night, I think anyone would feel really lucky to be considered. It’s obviously an incredible opportunity.”
At the same time, Viall admitted that being on another reality show would be something that he would have to carefully consider in order to make sure it was the right move.
“It’s one of those things, where you know it’s not easy… It’s a difficult process and it doesn’t always work out, but then again, you have some amazing love stories — Sean and Catherine, Desiree and Chris, and people like that. It’s one of those things I’d have to obviously spend a lot of time [discussing] with my family and friends, but I can’t say that I wouldn’t… I really want to do it only if I felt like it could really work for me.”
Although he was clearly heartbroken after being dumped by Bristowe, Viall is ready to move on with his life. In fact, the former contestant was recently spotted on a mysterious date in West Hollywood.
“She was resting her head up against his shoulder and holding his hand throughout the night,” a witness told People.
Meanwhile, E! News is reporting that a selection for the next Bachelor has already been made, and it isn’t Viall. Sources close to show have revealed to the outlet that the producers of the show have decided to go with Higgins.
The source stated that Higgins has yet to sign an official contract, but the reality star is “pretty much a lock” in being on the show. The insider added that Viall was in consideration for the role, but the producers felt like Higgins would attract more viewers.
In regards to the news, it should be noted that ABC has yet to officially announce who will be the new Bachelor, but chances are it will be one of the fan favorites from The Bachelorette.
