Donald Trump Putting His Money Where His Mouth Should Be: Helicopter Rides Instead Of Kisses For Children
Donald Trump plans to make a grand entrance at the Iowa State Fair. The business mogul will arrive in style in one of his three $7 million Sikorsky S-76 helicopters. However, Trump doesn’t plan to keep his plush air palace to himself. The presidential hopeful is requesting clearance in Des Moines to take 10 children at a time up into the air for the thrill ride of a lifetime. While other presidential candidates are kissing babies and posing for photos, Trump plans to one-up their efforts by giving children the chance of a lifetime to take to the skies in luxury. Trump says that the Iowa State Fair won’t be charged a dime for the offering as he will setup the thrill helicopter ride at his own expense and risk.
The Daily Mail reports that the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump, plans to unveil an unconventional campaign strategy at the Iowa State Fair. Instead of kissing hundreds of babies, the businessman hopes to win the hearts of voters by giving their children the chance of a lifetime. Trump plans to bring one of his three Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, which cost a staggering $7 million a piece, to the fair and allow 10 children at a time to take a free ride.
Trump plans to hover the children 5,000 feet in the air so that they can get a bird’s eye view of the surrounding area. The ride will last approximately 15 minutes and won’t be one the children will soon forget. Trump’s helicopter is decked out with the finest luxuries which cost an alleged $750,000 to outfit, in addition to the sticker price of the chopper itself. The design includes cream-colored Italian-leather seating and 18-karat gold plated seat belt buckles.
Children will also be able to sip on Trump-branded water as they sit in the luxurious craft. The bottles of water feature Donald Trump’s face on the label. It is not clear if Trump plans to ride in the helicopter with the children or stay on ground and speak with the parent voters, but one thing is clear, the presidential hopeful will be the center-of-attention with his “thrill ride” if the Iowa State Fair allows him to have his way.
When speaking about his idea to allow kids to hop aboard his helicopter, Trump seemed elated about the idea and says he thinks it will be “magnificent.”
“It’ll be magnificent! We’re asking approval. We’re really doing it!”
Though Trump says he is asking for approval from the Iowa State Fair, a spokeswoman for the fair claims that Trump hasn’t yet asked and if he does he will be denied.
“He is welcome to land his helicopter anywhere outside the grounds and take people on rides or whatever he would like to do. But that will not be happening on Iowa State Fair grounds.”
It is unclear if Trump plans to offer the rides out side of the fair in a designated location or if his plans will be crushed if he can’t actually land his helicopter on fair grounds. What do you think about Donald Trump’s “magnificent” plan to bring children aboard his luxury helicopter?
