Daniel Bryan is certainly one of the most popular superstars to ever appear on WWE television or in the squared circle at a pay per view event. Now, he has a popular new book out, appears as one of the judges on Tough Enough , and he has some great things going on in his life. The one thing missing is in-ring action due to injury, and apparently, WWE has no plans for him to return to wrestling.
It was just recently that Daniel Bryan went on the record to say that a doctor had officially cleared him to return to wrestling. However, the doctor was in Arizona and not the official doctor of WWE, which means he was was not officially cleared to wrestle after all.
“The whole problem with this process is getting cleared by the doctors. I’ve been cleared by one doctor in Phoenix, but the WWE doctor is hesitant to clear me. It’s a very complicated situation, that I guess they don’t really want me talking about.”
Well, not only has WWE’s doctor not cleared him, but they have no plans in place for him to return to any in-ring action right now. Cageside Seats reports that they do plan on keeping Bryan busy with some other projects.
One of those things is his book tour to promote Yes!: My Improbable Journey to the Main Event of WrestleMania , and it’s keeping him very busy. The new book has actually been very successful and has shot to the top of the charts.
… #YESBook by the way, is officially a New York Times Bestseller! #YES ! YES! YES!

WWE saying that they have no in-ring plans or call for Bryan to return to wrestling at this time shouldn’t be very surprising. Injuries are being taken very seriously by the company ever since the CM Punk debacle and also to avoid any type of longstanding lawsuits.
Daniel Bryan had high hopes of returning to action in time for SummerSlam , but there is little to no chance of that happening. He now states that he’s aiming for a return at the Royal Rumble in January or maybe even by the end of the year.
This doesn’t mean that Bryan’s in-ring career is over, but it certainly won’t be continuing anytime soon. That being said, WWE also would like to keep his official return to in-ring action as much of a surprise as possible, and that’s sort of what they are currently doing with Sting .
Daniel Bryan has plenty to do right now with his book tour, Tough Enough , and other appearances for WWE. Unfortunately for the fans, none of what he has to do includes wrestling or being in the ring for any reason at all, but hopefully, it will soon.
