Jace Alexander: ‘Law And Order’ Director Faces Child Pornography Charges

Jace Alexander, the director of Law and Order, is facing charges related to child pornography.

On Wednesday, July 29, the Westchester County authorities arrested Jace on felony counts of possessing and promoting child pornography, according to USA Today.

The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office launched an investigation that reportedly traced a video’s IP to a computer in Alexander’s Dobbs Ferry home. In the video clip, posted by Jace to a torrent site, a young girl, between the ages of 12 and 13, is seen touching herself inappropriately.

Upon completing a thorough search of Alexander’s home, the police also discovered another horrific video which shows a little girl, around the age of six, performing sexual acts on herself, according to the Spreadit.

Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore, released a statement, along with Jace’s mugshot photo.

“Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore announced that Jason Alexander (DOB 04/07/64) of 42 Bellair Dr., Dobbs Ferry, New York, was charged today by Felony Complaint with:

-one count of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “D” Felony, -one count of Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a class “E” Felony, for possessing and file-sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than seventeen years of age.

On July 24, 2015, an investigator from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office downloaded child pornography from an IP (internet protocol) address in Westchester County.”

Alexander was briefly jailed after being arraigned in the Dobbs Ferry Village Court, but later posted his $10,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear back in court on November 19. If Jace, whose real name is Jason, is convicted of the charges against him, he could face seven years in federal prison.

Jace, the son of Tony Award-winning actress Jane Alexander, is probably best known for directing more than 30 episodes of Law and Order. However, he is also known for his work on the television shows Rescue Me, The Practice, and the DirecTV comedy, Coop. Last month, he was elected as the second vice-president of the Directors Guild of America.

Alexander is married to actress Maddie Corman, and is the father of three children, including 10-year-old twin boys.
