‘Sons of Anarchy’ Star Ron Perlman On ‘Hand of God’, ‘Hellboy’, ‘Call Of Duty’ And ‘Fallout 4’
Sons of Anarchy star Ron Perlman has been a busy man since last appearing in the hit FX series in 2014.
Since leaving the set of Sons of Anarchy a year ago, Perlman has been involved in nearly two dozen projects, from television series to movies and even video games, as IMDB reports.
Outside of guest appearances on The Blacklist and Archer, Perlman has starred in Amazon’s series Hand of God. The show is about a morally corrupt judge named Pernell Harris – Perlman’s character – as he follows signs from a higher authority to seek justice for his family. With veteran actress Dana Delany as his wife, this show promises to portray Ron in a role familiar for Sons of Anarchy viewers – a man who stops at nothing to get what he wants.
The former Sons of Anarchy star spoke at the recent Comic-Con in San Diego about his newest role, reported Comic Book Resources.
“I wouldn’t say he’s ‘dark-natured. I’d definitely say the situation he finds himself in has made for tremendous amount of dark moments. But he’s a rather positive powerful force [to his community] prior to this.”
Fans of Ron’s work who may not know him from his role as Clarence “Clay” Morrow on Sons of Anarchy likely remember him from the popular Hellboy series. At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Hellboy 3 was discussed at the panel for Hand of God. The former Sons of Anarchy star wasted no time and minced no words in what direction he’s leaning about the final episode of the trilogy.
In an interview with Spinoff, the 65-year-old Sons of Anarchy actor discussed the possibility of returning to the role. Discussions have been in the works for several years about this movie with the director of the previous two installments, Guillermo del Toro, Xpose reported.
“He designed the saga to be a trilogy, and to have this conclusion that would address the destiny part of Hellboy, the nature versus nurture conversation of Hellboy. That’s why I’m on my soapbox. It’s because the notion of all those things being finally resolved are rather epic and very theatrical, and would make for a great movie.”
Even Perlman’s voice is in demand these days. With two releases due out this year, Ron lends his deep, gravelly voice to video games Call of Duty: Black Ops III as The Boxer and Fallout 4 as the narrator. Prior to San Diego’s Comic Con, the Sons of Anarchy star had been tight-lipped about the upcoming project.
“I wish I could give you news on that, but I can’t and I won’t.”

With such a full workload, hopefully he’ll make time for the Sons of Anarchy prequel too – if he’s included in the cast list, that is.
