‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Star Meghan King Edmonds Calls Vicki Gunvalson ‘Manipulative’ After ‘Gold Digger’ Charges
The drama between Vicki Gunvalson and Meghan King Edmonds on the Real Housewives of Orange County isn’t going to end anytime soon. The feud between the reality stars began in the latest episode, which saw the cast going to Tahiti for a little vacation.
The women were in Tahiti in order to give Gunvalson some time to deal with the passing of her mother. Gunvalson was very close with her mother, and she needed some time away in order to deal with losing one of her closest friends.
“She misses her mom every single day, understandably,” Shannon Beador explained to People. “They had a really close relationship. I think it’s hard for all of us to relive the tough and sad moments in our lives.”
Meanwhile, things between Gunvalson and Edmonds started when the wives were busy shopping in an expensive jewelry store in Tahiti during the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Orange County. Gunvalson brought up the issue of wives spending their husband’s hard earned money without permission.
“If I were a husband, and my wife was out spending my money, I’d be p****d,” Gunvalson stated.
“I’ve never been privileged in a marriage that my husband took care of me … When you become the breadwinner, let’s see how you feel when he goes out and spends your money.”
Later in the episode, Gunvalson inquired as to whether or not Edmonds had a job, insinuating that she was a gold digger. Edmonds told her that she doesn’t work, but used to until she met her current husband and former MLB player, Jim Edmonds.
The tension between the two reality stars didn’t end there. In the Watch What Happens Live following the episode, Edmonds wasn’t ready to play nice when asked what was going on between her and Gunvalson.
“I think it’s pretty clear what’s happening there,” Meghan said during the show.
“It’s a deflection: it’s some kind of insecurity that is playing out as an attack on me.”
Edmonds, who was sporting pink hair in support of her husband’s late wife, who died from colon cancer, went on to add that she thinks Gunvalson is being “manipulative.”
“I can handle it, so I think that’s why she continues to come after me.”
While fans will have to wait to see how things unfold between the two, Edmonds believes it’s going to be an ongoing matter. “It’s not going to end soon,” she stated.
