Janet Jackson Rushes To Brazil After Joe Jackson Has Three Heart Attacks
Janet Jackson put the prep for her Unbreakable World Tour on hold indefinitely to rush to the bedside of her father, record producer, Joe Jackson.
As reported in the Inquisitr, Joe Jackson, father of the late Michael Jackson, was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paolo, Brazil, where he had traveled to celebrate his 87th birthday with an enormous party. Jackson was admitted to the hospital after having dizzy spells and lost his vision.
After admission, it was discovered that Jackson had had another stroke (he has had three in the past), and then he suffered three heart attacks. During his stroke, an artery had burst behind his eye, which caused his temporary blindness.
Us Magazine is reporting that an insider said Janet Jackson took a private jet to Sao Paolo, Brazil to visit her father in intensive care, where he has been since his pacemaker surgery.
After the event, a note from Joe Jackson was posted on his web site.
“To my family, friends, acquaintances and fans all over the world. I want to thank you all for your prayers, unwavering support and kind well wishes during these trying times,” Joe shared on Monday, July 27. “Through God’s intervention the wonderful Doctors, Nurses and caretakers at the Albert Einstein Sao Paulo hospital have taken great care of me. God willing, I should be able to make a quick recovery and travel back home soon. Thank you all once again for your prayers and support.”
Jo Jackson’s publicist reported that Jackson’s heart stopped beating for 10 seconds, but he was revived.
“doctors are now waiting to see if it stabilizes him. We’re told Joe’s family wants him flown back to the U.S. for further treatment, but for now it’s too dicey.”

Despite this family emergency, Janet Jackson is planning to move ahead with her tour which launches on August 31. Janet Jackson announced her new tour via a Twitter video on her 49th birthday in May.
“I’ve promised you’d hear it from my lips and now you will,” Janet said in the video. “This year: new music, new world tour, a new movement. I’ve been listening, let’s keep the conversation going.”
Janet Jackson’s tour will launch in Vancouver, British Columbia.
