Donald Trump’s Lawyer Michael Cohen To ‘Daily Beast’ Reporter: ‘You Write Mr. Trump Rape Story, I’m Going To Mess Your Life Up’
Well, Donald Trump and his lawyer, Michael Cohen, aren’t winning many fans on Tuesday because of rape allegations that first arose years ago, as reported by the Daily Beast. That’s when Donald’s ex-wife, Ivana Trump, described a harrowing event claiming “The Donald” got mad at her for a recommendation of a plastic surgeon that he claimed ruined him via scalp surgery. As the book from 1993, called Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump recounts, Trump allegedly then ripped hair from Ivana’s own head and forced sex upon her. Initially, Ivana’s testimony of “rape” was changed to describing it as a different kind of sex, and emotional rape.
Either way, it’s writer Tim Mak’s accounts of threats received from Trump’s lawyer Cohen, who is a special counsel at The Trump Organization, that are troubling — along with Cohen’s initial vapid claims that a married person cannot rape their own spouse.
“You’re talking about the frontrunner for the GOP, presidential candidate, as well as a private individual who never raped anybody. And, of course, understand that by the very definition, you can’t rape your spouse. It is true. You cannot rape your spouse. And there’s very clear case law.”
That outrageous claim caused the Trump adviser, Cohen, to apologize for his rape comment, reports CNN? — but the threats issued against the Daily Beast writer seemingly stand without an apology from Michael.
“I will make sure that you and I meet one day while we’re in the courthouse. And I will take you for every penny you still don’t have. And I will come after your Daily Beast and everybody else that you possibly know. So I’m warning you, tread very f****** lightly, because what I’m going to do to you is going to be f****** disgusting. You understand me?”
The top lawyer for Trump warned the writer that if he placed any article with Donald’s name next to the word “rape,” Cohen would make sure to sue him and the Daily Beast and everyone else the writer knew.
“You write a story that has Mr. Trump’s name in it, with the word ‘rape,’ and I’m going to mess your life up … for as long as you’re on this frickin’ planet … you’re going to have judgments against you, so much money, you’ll never know how to get out from underneath it.”
As reported by the Inquisitr, Ivana has now called the rape allegations “without merit.”
