‘UnREAL’ Season Finale Spoilers: Could A Proposal And A Wedding Happen? [Preview]
A new trailer for the season finale of UnREAL has been released, and it appears as though the episode is going to feature a number of twists and surprises. With the possibility of a wedding and/or a proposal to occur, all within the backdrop of Royal London, what else can fans expect to go down in the finale?
First off, the trailer does clear things up a bit concerning Adam Cromwell (Freddie Stroma) and Rachel (Shiri Appleby). Although it appeared that the two may have run off together, the video makes it clear that they didn’t. Further, it seems as though Everlasting will continue to be the focal point of the series.
At the same time, the installment will also feature the return of a former contestant on Everlasting. Although Britney, who is played by Arielle Kebbel, was eliminated early on in the contest, she is set for a return. Although she is sure to add more drama to the situation, it isn’t known exactly why she has decided to appear in London.
Further, in a photo released by Entertainment Weekly, Britney and Adam are seen holding hands in a tense moment. The two appear to be at a wedding when the encounter happens, though it isn’t known what the two are doing together.
While the series gets ready to kick off its season finale, Movie News Guide is reporting that the premiere date for Season 2 of UnREAL has already been set. With the first season of the series being such a big success, many have compared the show, which explores the behind-the-scenes life of a reality TV producer, to the real life of series creator Sarah Shapiro.
Although Shapiro has denied any similarities between the show and her own life, the fictional dating show featured on UnREAL bears a striking resemblance to the real life dating show, The Bachelor.
In addition to the similarities between Everlasting and The Bachelor, Shapiro actually worked on The Bachelor before creating UnREAL. Further, Shapiro and one of the main characters on UnREAL, Rachel Goldberg, also share a comparable story.
In the series, Rachel is forced to work on the dating reality show, and is compelled to add drama in order to make the show more appealing. In a similar way, Shapiro worked on The Bachelor despite the show’s premise going against her beliefs.
While we will have to wait and see what is in store for the series in Season 2, the Season 1 finale for UnREAL airs Monday night on Lifetime.
