First reports said that Joe Jackson had just suffered a stroke that caused him to lose his vision. Now, TMZ is reporting that it is thought that the stroke caused an artery to burst behind Jackson’s eye, causing the blindness, but that he also had three heart attacks after arriving at Albert Einstein Hospital and had pacemaker surgery. Jackson has since regained his vision. They are also reporting that Jackson’s family want to have him flown back to the United States, but Sao Paolo doctors say right now it is still dicey.
Radar Online has referred to the event as a “medical crisis” and says that he is on his “death bed” after suffering “life-threatening” heart attacks.
“This stroke was his fourth or fifth that he’s suffered in past two years and while in the hospital he suffered at least two heart attacks,” a family insider told Radar .
Arrangements are being made to fly Katherine Jackson and Jackie Jackson to Sao Paolo to sit by Joe’s side.
“It’s likely that he suffered at least one other one before being rushed to the hospital,” the family friend added. “Joe’s heart is not beating on its own. He’s not good.”
“Joe is in terrible shape,” said the source.
Another source close to Joe’s grandchildren, Prince, 18, Paris, 17, and Blanket, 13, says that, needless to say, “everyone in the family is preparing for the worst.”

Today, Joe Jackson’s publicist released a statement updating the press on Jackson’s condition.
“Yesterday in Sao Paolo Joe had a stroke and then his heart stopped,” the publicist said.
He was at an event and he was “feeling light-headed and dizzy,” so he went to the hospital to be checked out.
“They found out there was something wrong with his eye,” the publicist tells Us Weekly . “There was an artery that burst behind it.”
Doctors kept him to run some tests, during which time his heart stopped. It is believed that Jackson will require at least one more surgery before leaving Sao Paolo.
Do you think that Joe Jackson’s children will all come to Brazil?
