Kaitlyn Bristowe’s time is truly one that will go down in history as one of the strangest, most controversial, and awkward seasons ever on The Bachelorette. There was more than enough awkwardness on the “Men Tell All” special when Chris Harrison read some mean tweets to her.
The Washington Post pointed out some of the biggest things that happened this season, but there is likely some info that is still falling between the cracks.
Kaitlyn had sex with one of the contestants — They see this as the “most controversial storyline” of the season, but it usually isn’t that big a deal. The bigger situation was Kaitlyn awkwardly telling Shawn Booth that she had sex with Nick Viall.
That was about 20 seconds of the most uncomfortable silence in the history of television.
Speaking of Nick Viall — Should he even really be there? Kaitlyn brought him back to the show and then went out and defended her decision, as well. Last year’s runner-up on the Andi Dorfman season of The Bachelorette wasn’t enough for him, and now he gets it again.

For anyone who has watched The Bachelorette this season, it is not a shocker that Nick and Shawn absolutely despise one another. It’s bound to get really uncomfortable and tense at times, because they literally each have extreme hatred for the other.
