Brooke Hogan Speaks: Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Comes To His Defense Over Racist Comments
Brooke Hogan has spoke up in defense of her father, legendary wrestler Hulk Hogan, after it was revealed that the now-disgraced wrestler was released from the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc) for saying the N-word. The word in question was reportedly used by Hogan to refer to Brooke’s boyfriend, a little known rapper called Yannique Barker, who goes by the alias Stack$.
According to New York Post, the National Enquirer was the first to obtain the audio of Hogan spewing racist comments. The recording was allegedly taken secretly and illegally by an acquaintance while the two were in the middle of a private conversation, in which Hogan slammed his daughter’s boyfriend.
“I guess we’re all a little racist,” he said on the tape. “She (Brooke Hogan) is making some real bad decisions now,” Hulk continues. “My daughter Brooke jumped sides on me. I spent $2-3 million on her music career, I’ve done everything like a jacka*s for her.”
The former WWE champ continued, “The one option Brooke had, Brooke’s career besides me, is [to] sell beach records.”
The following text is the part of the conversation that really got Hulk Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, in trouble with the WWE.
“I mean, I don’t have double standards. I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f**king n*****s. But then when it comes to nice people and s**t, and whatever. I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f**k some n****r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall n****r worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F**king n****r.”
The incident is part of a growing wave of racial tension in the country, which has increased in recent months with the police shootings of unarmed black men and the recent controversy over the use of the Confederate flag.
Brooke Hogan forgave her father’s racist remarks through her Facebook profile with a poem, which describes him as a man of a gentle heart that would never hurt anyone intentionally.
An excerpt of the poem reads as follows.
“For those who think you know my father, remember who you are. We all can make mistakes and carry ugly scars. Because I know my father, I can promise this — Just like you and I, things we don’t mean can sometimes slip. We all continue learning. This life can be so rough… So if you know my father, please try not to be tough.”

But even the heartfelt gesture of his daughter has failed to stop the media firestorm that usually follows after a celebrity makes racially insensitive remarks. Hulk Hogan was fired from the WWE, and all of his merchandise was eliminated from the company’s official website. According to Us Weekly, all traces of Hogan were removed from its Superstars page and he is also no longer listed in the WWE Hall of Fame.
