Actor John Stamos returned to the Fuller House set recently and used Instagram to make it clear that Uncle Jesse is back!

“And we’re back! Same sideburns- different decade. #FullerHouse #Netflix.”

On Sunday, Stamos posted a second picture of himself in character as Uncle Jesse. This time around, the photo was a close-up shot of the great head of hair and trademark smile that helped to turn him into a TV heartthrob in the 90s.

John Stamos checked himself into a rehab facility earlier this month after his June DUI arrest. The arrest occurred just weeks before Stamos was scheduled to reprise his iconic 90s role of Uncle Jesse for the highly-anticipated Full House spin-off series on Netflix.

However, when the former Glee actor decided to check himself into rehab for treatment, quite a few Full House fans almost immediately began to worry about “Uncle Jesse” and how his decision would affect the show.

A close friend of the actor told Radar Online that John Stamos has struggled with a “drinking issue for years, but it escalated recently.” However, John apparently took a big step towards making sure that he would still be able to fulfill his commitment to Fuller House .

“He made sure to choose a treatment center that allows him to keep his commitment to Fuller House, as well as his other huge projects… Coincidentally, his decision to get help may also work in his favor in terms of resolving his DUI. He has a lot of love around him right now from both his real family and on-set family, as well as his friends and other actors in recovery.”

In addition to working on Fuller House for Netflix, John Stamos will also star in a leading role for the new FOX comedy, Grandfathered — a show that could put him back on the map of TV sitcom stardom.
