‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Spoilers For Season 12
New information is leaking about Grey’s Anatomy season 12, and the changes on the way for the doctors. Rumors and spoilers have been bouncing around, but for now, creator Shonda Rhimes is tight-lipped about who will stay, who will go, and what relationships will dissolve.
As was reported in the Inquisitr, Meredith Grey, played by Ellen Pompeo, might not be at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital for long, as Pompeo’s contract is soon up for review. It is rumored that the Alzheimer’s Disease that has been looming for Meredith will finally appear.

Based on an image of a call sheet leaked last week, episode 1 of the new season is going to be called “Sledgehammer,” as Rhimes is known for giving each episode a song title, this one would plausibly be named after the Peter Gabriel tune. Not much else is given away, except the shot locations of “main nurses station” and “long hall.”
But comments from Shonda Rhimes about “uncharted territory” have given some fans the idea that the main character, Meredith Grey, for which the show is named, might be killed off this season. That would certainly be uncharted, killing off the titled character.
At least one rumor has been put to rest, which is the one about Katherine Heigl returning to Grey’s Anatomy. Heigl has been critical of Patrick Dempsey’s departure, and further stated that she will never take part in a Shonda Rhimes series again.

Caterina Scorsone, who plays Dr. Amelia Shepherd, sister of the departed Dr. Derek Shepherd, was willing to spill some beans about season 12. She has indicated that there will be a lot more laughter and joy in season 12.
“This year on ‘Grey’s,’ so many tragic things happened that we only got a very small glimpse at that side of her personality because it was mostly kind of mired in all of the tragedy,” she continued.
Scorsone said she is not sure of the future of her character’s relationship with Dr. Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd), but she believes Amelia and Meredith will be able to rekindle their friendship.
“I think they really came to a deeper place with one another at the end of the season,” said Scorsone.
Lastly, it is suggested that April and Jackson, and Alex and Jo might be on the rocks. The only way to find out is to tune in to ABC in late September.
