Are Drake And Nicki Minaj Having A ‘Falling Out’ Over Meek Mill’s Twitter Diss?
Drake and Nicki Minaj have been best friends and label mates for years, but it looks like the duo are at odds over a Twitter spat that occurred earlier this week involving Drake and Minaj’s current boyfriend, Meek Mill.
Meek Mill made headlines on Tuesday after he took to Twitter to blast Drake for his alleged use of a ghostwriter on his new album.
“Stop comparing drake to me too… He don’t write his own raps! That’s why he ain’t tweet my album because we found out!”
While Drake neglected to respond directly to Meek’s claims, sources close to Minaj allege that the situation has created tension for Nicki in her relationship with Mill and friendship with Drake, Urban Islandz reports.
Meek issued a public apology for his Twitter rant earlier this week, only to throw even more shade at Drake by refusing to take back his comment about Drake needing a ghostwriter.
“I want to give a special apology shoutout to Nicki Minaj for my crazy a** getting all crazy on Twitter. I was just upset as a fan. Shoutout to Drake… let him be great in all the motherf****** lanes that he is great in.”
Despite Meek’s words, sources close to Minaj reveal that Drake has no interest in accepting the rapper’s apology, noting that the feud between Drake and her boyfriend has put her in an awkward position.
“Nicki did felt some type of way because she and Drake are pretty close even though they had a rough patch in their relationship. Drizzy definitely did not accept that apology and neither does he want one. At least that is what Drizzy people are telling Nicki Minaj. He thinks that Meek is just another hater who is jealous of his success.”
The source goes on to explain that Minaj has attempted to reach out to Drake regarding the feud, only for Drake to tell Minaj and Meek to “kick rocks.”
“There are some falling out because Drizzy is not even taking Nicki calls or answering his texts. Even Meek tried to reach out after that rant on Twitter but Drizzy told both of them to kick rocks.”
While Drake has yet to directly respond to Meek Mill, several songwriters and producers have come forward to defend Drake amid the ongoing feud.
TMZ reports that according to Drake’s rumored ghost writer, Quentin Miller, Drake only asked him to collaborate on a few of his songs.
In addition, producer Noah “40” Shebib defended Drake on Twitter by saying that he saw the rapper write his own music in the studio.
“I can’t count the hours that myself and drake have spent writing producing and recording music. Let’s just say… 5000 hours…. I’ve spent maybe 30 min in a studio with Q. Nice enough guy, very talented… No one is as talented as drake. It’s not worth my time. I need someone who understands song writing on a higher level…”
Do you think Nicki Minaj and Drake’s friendship will be hurt by Meek Mill’s ghostwriter claims?
