Will Shawn Booth’s Big Lie Cost Him ‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Final Rose?
Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe has a big decision to make on Monday night, but Shawn Booth’s jealousy and lies may end up making her choice an easy one.
One of Shawn’s fellow castmates recently called him out on Twitter for telling lies about Nick Viall. The lie Shawn told may seem petty in comparison to his insecurities and out-and-out hatred for Nick, but stating that “all the guys” from this season (and from Andi Dorfman‘s season) hate Viall clearly shows that he will do or say just about anything to be picked as the winner.
Contestant JJ Lane recently responded to fans who asked if the guys really hate Nick, and his candid tweet all but calls Shawn out for lying. In fact, JJ states that he loves Nick and he’s an “honest” and good friend.

Shawn’s non-stop Nick bashing is not the only thing that may cost him the final rose. During the season finale, both guys will get to meet Kaitlyn’s family. A preview released by ABC (watch video above) shows a conversation her mother has with Shawn, and the first thing she does is address his jealousy issues. She tells him point blank that she’s not sure that the 28-year-old personal trainer can keep up with her very social daughter.
Although spoilers point to Shawn getting the final rose, there is still some doubt that things will play out that way. With all of the twist and turns this season, it is possible that the hints — including Kaitlyn’s Snapchat and Shawn Booth’s telling Instagram pic — were put out there to throw viewers off course.
Celeb Dirty Laundry questions whether Kaitlyn intentionally posted the SnapChat video “under the producers orders” to “throw off predictors” — something that certainly sounds possible. However, Reality Steve still stands by his spoilers, stating that Kaitlyn is engaged to Shawn and Nick got dumped at the final rose ceremony.
On July 27, the speculation will be put to rest when ABC airs season finale of the Bachelorett. The three-hour show also includes a live After The Final Rose special — will fans see Kaitlyn and Shawn together, or will she sitting next to Nick, happily engaged?
