Chris Harrison Dishes On Nick Viall As Next ‘Bachelor,’ Says Ben Higgins Rumors Untrue
Will Nick Viall be announced as the next Bachelor? Not if host Chris Harrison has anything to do with the decision. And rumors that Ben Higgins has already signed a contract to become ABC’s next leading man? Harrison states that he is one of three guys being considered for the role, but a final decision has not been made.
With just days to go before Kaitlyn Bristowe hands out her final rose, Chris tells Reality TV World that Nick would not be a good fit for the gig. The next Bachelor will be the franchise’s 20th, so there is no doubt that producers want to bring someone on who brings in big ratings, and Harrison does not think Viall is the man for the job.
“The fact [Nick] had been on the show twice, yeah, he is polarizing, I don’t think that he would necessarily [work out] as the Bachelor.”
Harrison says that three guys that Kaitlyn has already rejected would be “better suited” to become the Bachelor 2016. His picks? Ben Higgins, Ben Zorn and Jared Haibon, all fan favorites this season.
Chris says that it takes a “certain type of person” to become the Bachelor, but would not confirm if the Ben Higgins casting rumors are true, stating that the network’s official pick has not been made.
However, blogger Reality Steve seems to think there’s a very good chance that Ben Higgins will be handing out the roses in 2016, and he nixed rumors that Ben Z. or Jared (who appears on the upcoming season of Bachelor in Paradise) would be picked.
Is Chris Harrison’s conversation about Nick Viall not being a good fit as the next Bachelor a clear indication that Kaitlyn Bristowe picks Shawn Booth at the final rose ceremony?
According to a previous report from the Inquisitr, spoilers indicate that Nick Viall storms out of the final rose ceremony after his proposal is rejected, dropping an F-Bomb on his way out. If Kaitlyn’s now-famous Snapchat, and Shawn Booth’s revealing pic on Instagram are any indication, the spoilers may be spot on this season.
Of course, fans won’t know exactly how the season ends, and if Kaitlyn ultimately picks Shawn Booth or walks away single until the finale airs on July 27.

One thing that seems to be certain is the franchise has no intentions of bringing Nick Viall on as the Bachelor, but don’t rule him out from popping up as a cast member on a future season of the Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise, perhaps following in the footsteps of Bachelor Nation regular, Chris Bukowski.
