Bobbie Thomas Boy Welcomed After ‘Today’ Star Struggled With Pregnancy Problems & IVF, Inspiring Others [Photos]
Bobbie Thomas welcomed her first baby boy with open arms. The Today style editor, 40, has been candid about her infertility problems, reported the Daily Mail.
Named Miles Thomas Marion, the little boy weighed 7lbs 5oz and is the only child of Bobbie and husband Michael. Before Thomas had her baby boy, she went through four cycles of in vitro fertilization (IVF), as well as a variety of visits to physicians and hormone shots.
Prior to her pregnancy, Bobbie then had an embryo transfer. And now that Thomas has the baby boy of her dreams, her fans are responding with sincere congratulations on social media. Many noted that they had read about her struggle to get pregnant.

It was about a year ago that Bobbie began publicizing her battle with infertility. That was when Thomas got the news that to have a baby boy or girl, her best option was IVF, which involves fertilizing eggs outside the female body.
Using the Internet as her diary, Bobbie wrote about every element of her struggle, from tests to shots to medication. Thomas had one goal in sharing her journey, which was to provide inspiration and hope to others.
“It’s consuming,” said Bobbie about using IVF. “If you know someone, or if you’ve gone through IVF, it does consume a big chunk of your life.”
Thomas expressed her gratitude to her fans on social media, noting how much they helped her through her pregnancy until her baby boy was born.
“Thanks so much to everyone who messaged me, shared advice & offered encouragement these last few weeks,” posted the new mom.
Bobbie and her husband, Michael, who is a lawyer, talked about their struggle to get pregnant on television, reported Closer Weekly.
Thomas, before having her baby boy, and her husband emphasized that they sought to keep a positive outlook.
“There are so many kind, strong women out there who have gone through what I’m going through, and many more who will one day. I hope that by talking about it as something we’re proud of, we can lean on and learn from each other,” said Bobbie.
“It’s very exciting, of course, and we’re just trying to stay positive,” emphasized Michael. “It’s been a challenge, it’s not for the faint of heart.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Kim Kardashian also revealed her own struggle to get pregnant. At one point, Kardashian even underwent surgery to determine her options.
