Bangladesh Stuns South Africa On Day 1 Of Test: Streaming Cricket Links For Dramatic Day 2
Bangladesh proved again that while they may not be the world’s best, they are the world’s most exciting and unpredictable cricket side when they shocked the World No. 1-ranked team, South Africa, bowling out the Proteas on Day One of their First Test — with two overs to spare before stumps.
Watch Day Two live online to see if South Africa can pull themselves back into the Test Match, behind the overpowering fast bowling attack of Dale Steyn, Vernon Philander and Morne Morkel — or if Bangladesh can chase down the modest South Africa first innings total of 248 to take full command of the match.
Streaming links for Day Two can be found below. Play is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. local time Wednesday, July 22, at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the coastal Bangladesh city of Chittagong. That’s 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, United States Eastern Time, 8:30 p.m. Pacific.
Bangladesh was led by a nearly flawless Test debut from 19-year-old left-arm quick Mustafizur Rahman who had already opened the cricket world’s eyes in earlier ODI matches against India and South Africa.
But how the exuberant youngster (pictured above) would adapt to cricket’s longest and most demanding format was a mystery — a mystery quickly solved when Mustafizur took three wickets in four balls, dismissing three of South Africa’s best batsmen — Hashim Amla, J.P. Duminy and Qunetin de Kock — in rapid succession.
In the end, Mustafizur’s dream debut saw him finish at four wickets for only 37 runs, causing South Africa to crumble after the top-ranked Test side posted a strong 104/1 first session, soon swelling to 136/1, and appeared headed on their way to the dominant victory that most cricket experts had predicted.
Mohmmad Shahid also strangled South Africa, bowling six consecutive maidens and nine overall — but freakishly failed to take a single wicket.
