Blake Shelton And Miranda Lambert To Divorce: Cheating Not The Reason, Says Source
Many were in shock when Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced that they were divorcing. The first assumption made is that Blake Shelton cheated on Miranda, but a source close to the couple is saying that’s just not true.
Prior to the announcement that they’re splitting, Blake Shelton has always been plagued by cheating rumors, but according to a source, The Voice mentor has never cheated on Miranda.
A source from Shelton’s camp told People magazine of his relationship with Lambert, “Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband. I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman.”
Life & Style alleges that the cheating stems back to two years ago. They originally reported that Blake had an inappropriate relationship with singer Cady Groves back in 2011. Apparently, Miranda Lambert found out and never really forgave him for this. An insider told the outlet at the time, “Since the Cady scandal, they’ve done a lot to work on their relationship, but Miranda knows she can’t change Blake. Being a flirt is in his DNA.”
The source continued, “They get jealous of who the other is spending time with.” That said, does being a flirt always signal that there’s cheating going on in the relationship? In this case it doesn’t look like it.
The exclusive scoop that People magazine obtained points to these reports as rumors. The source told the magazine that, “he hasn’t cheated ever.”
As the Inquisitr reported, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton announced their plans to divorce after a decade long romance. The two were married in Texas in 2011 after dating for years.
The pair issued a statement earlier today. “This is not the future we envisioned, and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Since the news hit, fans have been mourning the couple and their epic romance.
One user on Twitter wrote, “Guess when you have no time to see each other its not good for the marriage. I hope this was mutual & it’s not gonna get dirty!”
While another user tweeted, “I’m shocked. My heart breaks for them. Wish them both all the best.”
