Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert Split: Second Time Not The Charm For Him
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert announced their divorce today after four years together, and fans of the duo are both heartbroken and a little surprised at all the fuss. The country crooners seemed inseparable almost since word got out the two were an item, but Blake Shelton has definitely claimed more than his fair share of female attention over the years.
#MirandaLambert and #BlakeShelton are breaking up. What's next? Faith and Tim? Garth and Trisha? Whisky and cigarettes? IS NOTHING SACRED?

Blake Shelton, whose marriage to Lambert was his second try at the altar, is the current king of country music, with his song “Sangria” holding steady at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart. He and Lambert had dated for six years before deciding to tie the knot in 2011.
“I don’t want her to ever have any doubts,” Blake Shelton said of his decision to let Lambert go through any of his electronics if she should feel the need.
Perhaps pundits should have looked at their first year and a half together to realize that the writing may have already been on the wall; Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert spent a scant 150 days together in their first year and a half as man and wife. He did, however, note, that she was willing to “go through hell” to ensure they spent time together, while he was more likely to tell her he would see her next week if he was off somewhere.
It has been a busy month for Blake Shelton. He had LASIK surgery earlier this month and put in an appearance at one of Canada’s biggest country music festivals in Craven, Saskatchewan. Likely best known by a global audiences as one of the four coaches on The Voice, Blake Shelton also continues to garner fans in country music for his good ol’ boy persona and his whiskey-warm voice.
But it’s also the warmth Blake Shelton shows to the contestants on The Voice that has also won fans over. It was a facet of his personality that his soon to be ex Miranda Lambert had said she was initially surprised by, according to Shelton’s Redbook interview in 2011.
Regardless of how romantic the couple was – and it did appear that the affection between the two was quite genuine – it appears that the curtain has been drawn on the Blake Shelton/Miranda Lambert romance. The couple filed for divorce earlier in the day today and the financial details of their assets have already been determined, given the couple had a prenup. Given that, it should not take long to finalize their divorce.
